Why won't The Pope pawn his throne and use that money to feed the children?

I'm no atheist but I never understood how praying makes you a good person. in fact to me praying is a waste of time cause when you pray you are not really talking or communicating with God like everyone thinks. if that was the case then all of our prayers would be answered 100% of the times. if anything God already know what you are going through in life, he already knows your needs and desires way before you pray so again what is the point of praying?

its also clear that life would lose its meaning if God just decides to solve all of our problems like if we are lazy ass parasites. hence perhaps that is why he helps us the most when we help ourselves and make an effort in our war with life.

till then I still wonder why is the pope PRAYING for starving children when he can just pawn the throne he sits in? I'm pretty sure that throne is worth billions. I mean not only is it made out of gold but the fact that is been passed down from generations just adds more value. so again why won't he just sell that throne and along with his golden staff that he frequently holds and use that money to end hunger?

There are really Godly Catholics and Christians whom are living the life most of us should, for God. But greed and corruption run deep and through most of society. We started to let govt take over the roles of caring for people and not so sure that is working out... when it's a job, it may not have the "heart" required.

There is tremendous good in the Bible, if done even mostly right. the challenge is... us... being willing to love the unlovable.

We really need to improve our society, and fast.

Praying doesn't make you a good person, in fact there's nothing you can do to make you a good person. You are the righteous of God in Christ if you believe in his son Jesus Christ. Prayer is key 1 Timothy 5 vs 17 and is communication with God emphasized a lot. God isn't a genie. He doesn't answer your very beck and call, but he is pleased by your faith. Don't just pray in a vacuum. Pray with faith

i doubt he has such gold thrones and scepters, i even bothered to search and only found a comedy website. but your point is valid about luxury, most vatican luxury could be replaced by common furniture, sofa etc. and should be used for charity.
