What does it mean to truly repent considering we can never truly be without sin?

I think you're heart tells you when you're doing wrong.

See this was a problem for me when I was first saved. Because I didn't feel changed. I expected to feel something. I think some come to God easier than others. I think God had to make me understand who he was before I would accept his love. He had to break my pride and arrogance.

When you're saved you're supposed to be changed and want to live life for God. This is why I think you have some very committed Christians. Christians not just in word but in deed. God says good works will not earn you a place in heaven. Well if that's the case why live a good life? Because you've heard the call. And to not answer means you're not truly living the word of God.

It took me a while to understand and accept this. That I am flawed. That I am man an capable of much evil which is why I pray to God to always keep me pointed towards the light. I cannot do it on my own. I cannot earn a place in heaven God grace allows it for me. But that doesn't absolve me of the RESPONSIBILITY of living for him every day.

I try to remember that God is just and loving. Ergo I have need to understand how it all works. I need only concern myself with doing his will. God will take care of the rest.

Humans will always sin, either knowingly or unknowingly. When you "repent" you are really just trying to mitigate what you have done knowingly, and supplicate for what you have done unknowingly.

Maybe evaluate how you might be being conned by being told that you come into the world, already damaged from the get-go, & (suspiciously), the only way to alleviate that is to be controlled & to follow some bullshit plan. human will always make mistakes and sins, but there’s some boundaries to it. I would say that truly repent is when we tried our best to resist from big sins and acknowledge when we’re making sins and not normalize it

Repentance in the Bible means to turn away from your evil ways and unbelief and to put your faith and trust in the finished work of the lord Jesus Christ unto salvation.

A born again Christian can and sometimes falls into sin but doesn't live a lifestyle of sin if he or she has truly come to repentance towards the lord Jesus Christ.

Growing up in Baptist church, they talked about repentance as if all you just have to do is say “Sorry God for this or that.” But never went deeper into explaining that with repentance, there should be a renewing of your mind in which will show outwardly.
