The domestic cow is comparatively shorter, fatter, slower, more docile, and has shorter horns (depending on the breed) than its wild ancestor, the aurochs. Despite this, domestic cattle are found worldwide with a total population that's been hovering around 1 billion since 1975, whereas the aurochs is now extinct.

Animals bred for food do not need to evolve defenses against us. The traits that make them good livestock have made them extraordinarily successful, evolutionarily speaking.

The same goes for plants. Having utility value to people has become a successful survival strategy. It doesn't matter how many get eaten or destroyed if more are being bred.

No because being slaughtered increases the population. The reason so many old breeds have died out or become rare is we stopped eating them for various reasons.

Being docile and delicious will get your genes past on while aggressive and yucky just gets you sent for dog food.

It did- it gave cows horns and massive size, pigs powerful tusks and massive size, chickens... okay, maybe not chickens. But what natural selection gives, artificial selection can take away.

And while it's tempting to call natural selection superior, remember that it gave HIM:

Animals? We as humans can't stop from being slaughtered, so I doubt animals would have the ability to stop being slaughtered. But then again, God created animals for man's use, whether it be to plow their fields, give them clothing, or meat for the table. In fact, it was God Himself who killed an animal to make clothes for Adam and Eve.

Well, cousins of chicken tyrannized our mammal ancestors over hundreds millions of years, now we are apex land predators. Ancestors of cows and pigs were beyond hunting abilities of humanoids few thousand years ago. It's our golden time as species but nothing lasts forever, I don't think we have even 10 thousand years. This is less than a second in 4 billion years of life on this rock.

No, it seems like their brains aren't getting bigger anytime soon.. but it also seems like humans are going to find a replacement in the future.. poor animals.. the ones we slaughter are the least harmful and don't even eat meat.. but hey, God is fair and merciful 👍 lol..

Domesticating animals changes their evolution so it would have to be a undomesticated animal. Something would have to speed up evolution for another animal to catch up to humans.

I think undomesticated animals still do have the ability to fight back/flee. Until factory farming is slowed down or ended, I don't think they will have this option.
