Would God ever tell you to keep a secret?

I get dreams and social signals which I believe is God saying to hide my career from people because having high or low income might affect how people treat me or view me if they are not grounded in religious guidelines and assess people by their material and financial properties.

Well... There are a few known truly private revelations. One of these is what Saint John the Apostle received as a private part of what we know from His Book of Revelations. So yeah, sometimes God can tell You to keep a secret, but not necessarily one that is not included in the revelations themselves.
