To me, being aware of what's inside my head means to be able to control what I am going to say and do. It's "Sati" in Buddhism.

Wow. What a beautiful narration.
I guess it's a good thing if your thoughts and feelings are positive. But if they are negative, then what's the point of thinking about them? It will only cause more negativity.
Well, if it's negative, I will consider if I really need to express that. Maybe I should change the tone and make it constructive.

We also know this as mindfulness. It is important to be aware of one’s surroundings and to self check one’s mental and emotional state in order to monitor potential mental health issues which may distract from the things which are important in one’s life.
You're right! I actually pulled a card out from the Mindful Talk. It's designed for kids. But I think it's a good question for adults too.
I believe its important to be aware of our thoughts and feelings because its shapes what you see. It shapes the vision of the world. Do you have negative thoughts/feelings, you most likely see everything as negative. You have positive thoughts/feelings, then most likely also a positive view on the world
Thoughts produce feelings and habits and habits determine the kind of life you will live.
