Why does Jesus' sword come out of his mouth in book of Revelation?

Why his mouth? Is there some significance of his mouth for some symbolic reason?

Revelations is pretty much entirely symbolic, the prophecies predicted therein are not to be taken literally.

I assumed it symbolizes the power of Christ's word. In proverbs 12:18 it compares the tongue to a sword of those that speak rashly. But the tongue of the wise brings healing.

Jesus is the word of God... The sword of the Spirit is the word of God. Don't words come out of your mouth?

If you understand Colossians 1:16-20, then you know Jesus holds all of reality together and can just as easily cut it apart.

For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him. And he is the head of the body, the church; he is the beginning and the firstborn from among the dead, so that in everything he might have the supremacy. It's a mistranslation. It's supposed to be Jesus's word but the s joined up with word to become Jesus sword.

It's symbolism. The word of God is death to demons and humans in the book of revelation.
