I would always open the door in my teenage years if somebody knocked cause it could be somebody selling cookies or gathering volunteers for a social event.

One day somebody knocked on the door when I was home and this terror filled my heart and I grabbed a knife from the kitchen and did not open the door for them.

I believe God used that fear to warn me against opening the door to that stranger.

Yes. You can pick up vibes from people - little sounds or patterns that you may not be consciously aware of but can save your life if you listen to them. Animals are also very good at sensing dangers.

If you ever have that feeling of danger, listen to it and make smart decisions to protect yourself. The people who don't often get selected out of the gene pool.
