I'm always noticing these little synchronicities in my every day life and I never know what they're supposed to mean or if they're supposed to mean anything.
Maybe it's all just coincidence? 🤷‍♀️

Synchronicity is a concept introduced by analytical psychologist Carl Jung in 1928 to describe events that coincide in time and appear meaningfully related, yet lack any discoverable, or discernible causal connection to the patient’s issues. Jung held this was a healthy function of the mind, But which can become harmful within psychosis.
Jung developed the theory as a hypothetical noncausal principle serving as the intersubjective or philosophically objective connection between these seemingly meaningful coincidences. After coining the term in 1928. Jung developed the concept with physicist Wolfgang Pauli through correspondence and in their 1952 work The Interpretation of Nature and the Psyche. This culminated in the Pauli–Jung conjecture. Jung and Pauli's view was that, just as causal connections can provide a meaningful understanding of the psyche and the world, so too may non-causal connections.
Basically synchronicity is strictly a psychological concept in that simply describes coincidences that appear to be meaningful but are not. However, using these coincidences which appear meaningful can be used in therapy. For some clients, discussing experiences of “synchronicity" can validate their feelings of interconnectedness and meaning in life. This form of validation can be especially important for those who feel isolated or misunderstood. As a therapist one can use synchronicity to affirm the client’s sense of purpose or direction, reinforcing positive coping mechanisms.
Synchronicity can also be used to help clients make connections between seemingly unrelated events or thoughts, that can lead to deeper self-awareness. For example, a client might experience a series of coincidences that align with an internal conflict or an emotional theme they’ve been exploring in therapy. By acknowledging and discussing these synchronicities (or coincidences), the therapist can guide the client toward a better insight into their unconscious mind and current life situation.
Sadly, there is nothing mystical about them, and I highly doubt that a psychological theory developed in 1928 by psychologist Carl Jung, are signs from the universe.
I hope this helps
Sincerely, Laura 🤗 🥰
For the conclusion of this opinion to be less confusing on this point, it's better to state whether you believe or not that anything at all "mystical" exists, if you don't then that would better be part of the conclusion here. As "nothing mystical **about it**" implies that there is something mystical about something else.
And the therapy portion makes it sound like this method is all about deceiving the clients? If the therapist thinks it's just "coincidences" then it's pretty bad to tell the clients otherwise; how would the client feel once they find out that the therapist doesn't believe in what they say?
And yet, you do not have to, and it's not really possible for a rational mind to **believe** in them, as they have not many rational explanations, so they require either a strong intuitive feeling or reassuring unquestionable past experiences to believe in, and without those, in order to avoid coming across as a deceiver, you could just keep a rational potential explanation for them. Such as, "all the shit like our cells and gut bacteria, they have their own individual minds, yet serve our body the way we want, and sometimes rebel. When you slap your own belly, the germs on the hand might say 'hi' to the germs on your belly, and will call it a 'coincidence' that they rhythmically come back again for more slaps. So could humans be possibly part of a one larger mind that we see as 'unconscious'.
@The_Confusion There is nothing mystical about ANYTHING! Clear enough sweetie?
Synchronicities in particular are not necessarily signs from the universe. It’s likely just you noticing things you hadn’t registered before, changing your definition of normal. One thing I do take to heart, at least for me personally, is the appearance of angel numbers. This is when numbers appear in groups of 3 or 4, ie 111, 222, 333, etc. and each has their own meaning in numerology and the more you see, the greater the message. I always enjoy seeing the clock hit 11:11 or 4:44 as each are messages I’ll happily receive from the universe.
Oh, Mistress, my belief in synchronicities as signs from the universe is a reflection of my unwavering faith in Your divine will. If such occurrences align with Your desires and serve to deepen my submission, then they must be a manifestation of a higher power guiding me towards greater servitude. Each coincidental moment is a reminder of my place at Your feet, reinforcing my commitment to fulfilling Your every wish and enduring any trials that come my way, for it is through them that I am blessed with the opportunity to prove my devotion to You, my eternal Goddess.
Surely that depends on how you perceive things and the paradigm through which you see life.
If you're a scientific materialist, then this concept is a nonsense.
If you're of a spiritual persuasion, then this concept has meaning to you. You believe that life is imbued with meaning and even negative experiences and mental states are instructive and righteous for where they will ultimately lead you.
If you're superstitious, you'll see tons of meaning where there is none. I mean, I've known people who see everything as a synchronicity. I'm like, nah.

Bella synchronicity is very interesting. I think it was first described by Carl Jung and of course The Police did an entire album on that theme.
I personally think synchronicities happen all the time and are manifestations of the universe to which we give meaning. But the events can also go unrecognized in terms of someone ascribing meaning to them. I think that in that sense synchronicity is a two-way street.
yeah... like that time, when the last scoop of mayo, the very last slice of ham, and exactly two pieces of bread are left..
gotta love it
thanks Universe...
Watch the movie "The Eagle Has Landed" for some nice synchronicity content! :-)
Carl Jung believed in synchronicity and he was a pretty smart guy

No, I don't think the universe is a conscious entity.
