1 yI think on a human level for some of us it can be detrimental because once they remove the faith-based religious part, they just replace it with whatever is around. With that said, if you want to find the most atheists the quickest... I would point you toward radical groups first. i. e. political groups, racial identity groups, cults, etc.
With that said, I'm going to repeat myself and say some of us, not all of us. The people that are like that within the religious community can easily be spotted because they'll go by the logic of, "If you don't have religion (or believe), then you don't have any morals" which sounds retarded to most of us. It gives us insight on how their brain works. They have to have this thing (authority) to tell them what right and wrong are. It's not just there for them. ... Just imagine taking one of those people and putting them in an abusive household where only "might makes right" is the moral background. You're going to get some sick fucks outta that.
In conclusion, I don't think atheism is a threat. It's not teaching kids ethics. I never took an ethics class until I was an adult in college. Economics would be another one... we have adults walking amongst us who don't even know how to do their own taxes or they get tricked into debt. Instead, they come out of schools with gender, racial, and political ideologies... something isn't right there. <--That's also a great example of the religion replacement I was talking about.

m 1 yA threat? Hmm religion has been used from the very start to control the masses, it’s a tool used throughout the world to control people to make them do what the ruling elite want them to do. Religion is responsible or had a large bearing in a large number of wars from when religion started to now and will so in the future. How many atheist terrorists do you see compared with religious terrorists? Religion has always been and will always be the biggest threat to the world, that fact different religions get triggered violently over it is evidence enough.

514 opinions shared on Religion & Spirituality topic. No. Is science - the study of history, archeology, geology, cultural anthropology, astronomy, chemistry and medicine, biology, genetics, etc. - a threat to the world?
Religion has been used for power, control and the accumulation of wealth.
Religion has done a lot of harm - the crusades, pogroms, the inquisition, Cromwell and Anglicanism, the conquest of indigenous cultures, wars between Hindus and Muslims, Zionism, mass murder, torture, slavery, patriarchalism and abuse of women, ...
Atheists never did any of that stuff in the name of atheism.
One doesn't need religion to be moral Most average people, both religious people and non-religious, are good people. It's not religion that makes them so.21 Reply- 1 y
This is the way!!! MHO right here ^^^
1 yWhy would atheism be a threat to the world, considering religions failed to bring peace on our planet. Atheism does not mean having no moral values. Whatever their convictions, anyone being of good will and having moral values can help making this world a better place to live in.

1 yEver watch the news... all the people confident they won't get punished?
All because people promote atheism, they cause more and more people to destroy civilization.
If you want civilization , you have to be willing to say, the thing that you consider a lie "God sees you and will get yuo" instead of promoting atheism and being a partner in every rape and crime.

1 yAtheism is no bigger threat than organized religion. If you carefully look at history, organized religion is responsible for more deaths than any other cause. Crusades, Stonings, Genocides, etc.
30 Reply It's fine to be an atheist, but not in places where Christians, Muslims, or other non-atheists are the majority. Mostly in places where atheist populations are increasing such as Czechia, England, China, Korea, Japan, Vietnam, Iran, Turkey, Tunisia, France, Spain, USA, Netherlands and Italy.

1 yNo but, religion sure is!! Nearly every war that's ever been fought was based on religious differences!! So much for each one professing living in peace and loving thy fellow man, treating them as thine own brother, etc..
10 Reply No religion is a threat to the world..
Virtually every war has a religious base , a very dangerous practise.

Take a look at our history. There has been more war, death, and genocide carried out in the name of religion than literally any other thing. And absolutely zero carried out in the name of atheism.30 Reply- 495 opinions shared on Religion & Spirituality topic.
1 yLook into the history of the world and see how much death and destruction has been caused in the name of someone's "God". Do you know of any atheists who started wars, or crusades, or forced other people to adopt their philosophy?
10 Reply 2.6K opinions shared on Religion & Spirituality topic. No, religion is. Religion breeds conflict. The happiest and healthiest democracies are the least religious.

1 yNope. Atheism around the world been stuck at 15% for decades for a reason as it doesn't make any sense to conclude a creator doesn't exist as the immense majority of people agree that a creator does exist.

@Hispanic-Cool-Guy There may be something (what exactly, we'll probably never know) that is responsible for the creation of the universe... Or not. It is also possible that the universe came from absolute nothingness for no reason at all.
But if there is something behind it, it sure as shit is not the christian god, or any other god that has ever existed in humanity's collective mind throughout history.
3.8K opinions shared on Religion & Spirituality topic. Yes. Like flat earthers and antivaxxers, atheism is an opinion posing as a "concern", which has no basis in science, reason or fact.
