Should atheism be banned?

As atheism increases in the world, God is cursing us. All those fires and earthquakes are actually a warning from God. What do you think?

I think that's insane. Why should you have any more right to ban atheism; than athiests have the right to ban your religion? Tolerance is required for people with different beliefs to exist together within a society. You can move to places where athiesm is banned. Iran and Afghanistan come to mind.

@strateguy632 They took religion out of schools (as in "one's spiritual beliefs, including athiesm). I don't think that's hypocracy the way you're thinking. You're thinking about that from the point of view of a Christian. So you see them removing God from school. But... they romoved all spiritual beliefs. They are not removing God from schools in favor of athism.

I think that's as it should be,. It's better for a Christian to have to go to a school where they've rem, oved God... than it is for a Christian to be forced to go to a school that teaches Islam. (and vice versa)

You're seeing hypocracy because your persponal beliefs cause you to see this as a binary (either God in school, or no god in school).

That is not the case, if you take a step back and remember that there are many different religions or belief systems. You're assuming that God in school means YOUR god. But it doesn't necessarily. It's getting rid of Jesus, and Mohammed, and the Buddha, and everyone else... creating a neutral spiritual environment ;where (ideally) it doesn't matter if you're a Christian, atheist, Muslim, Hindu or whatever else. Nobody is forcing you to learn/repeat doctrines of a religion you do not believe in.

God isn't real. There's no evidence. All those fires? A consequence of climate change, which is a consequence of burning fossil fuels. Earthquakes? They have always happened and will continue to happen. They kill more people now just because there are more people.

No. People have the right to choose to follow a religion or not. Some people are atheists because they were brought up in a religious environment that wasn't good for them.

Yes, and some people are atheists because they see no evidence for the existence of God, and even less evidence for the truth of any currently religion. None of my friends are religious because they find them all silly.

If I actually saw proper evidence God exists I will stop being an atheist but so far in my life I have never seen anything that truly convinced me about God existence

I agree that insulting god brings curse but it is just faith we must allow all beliefs... still the harmful parts we need to ban, same as law intervention punished if i break your window... same for books promoting atheism that leads to physical harming HUMAN fetus victim in abortion.

Similarly books promoting atheism indirectly promote CRIME because more people think "i won't get punished " so do crimes so justified to ban those.

Why should you have the right to be religious while I haven't the right to be atheist?

Religions make war with eachother all the time. I think they should be banned first because obviously you are religious and you have problems with people having other ideas then believing in religion

No one has ever found a way to get rid of all rats.

An increase in atheism, like an increase in rats is a sign of malady. Getting rid of both will not fix the underlaying issues.

Right. Majority atheist countries are so horrible -- Norway, Sweden, Finland, Denmark, Japan, etc. are suffering from -- from what exactly? Their homicide rates are far lower than the rate in the US, they live longer, they have far fewer people homeless, maternal and infant mortality is lower, no one goes bankrupt to pay for medical care... horrible.
