Atheism by definition CAN'T be greater than religion, since it IS a religion. Nor did man come from monkeys; we came from a common ancestor of us and the chimps- an APE, not a monkey.

Humans are apes taxonomically. Monkeys are a paraphyletic group consisting of the old world monkeys (but not apes) and the new world monkeys. However humans are more closely related to old world monkeys than old world monkeys are to new world monkeys so in that sense you could call humans monkeys.

Yeah, if the Christians would just keep their religion in church and their homes, we wouldn't care. But they insist on having Bibles in public school classrooms, controlling women's reproductive lives, discriminating against the LGBTQ community. It wasn't all that long ago they insisted that there should be no mixed race marriages. We don't care what Christians believe, if they would just keep it to themselves instead of trying to make everyone else behave according to their religion.

I live in the United States where Muslims have very little political power. In the US, it's Christian Nationalists trying to force everyone to adhere to their religion. Which states have mandated that the Quran be taught? Which legislators have proposed keeping restaurants closed for Ramadan?
