Is it a good or bad thing to die at Easter?

The pope has just died and I was wondering how religious people view dying at this time of year. Does it carry any spiritual significance? Could it be down to the pressures of Lent? Or is it just like dying at any other time of year?

Being an atheist, it's my opinion that when your body says it's time to go for whatever reason you do. Simple. What happens after? Hopefully I'll be able to provide some nutrition for plants and animals in the vicinity. I would like to point out that being anywhere near JD Vance in his physical condition can't have been a good idea as I'm sure he exudes some sort of toxic aura, just a thought.

We've had this discussion in my family for ages.

The dying, have always tended to seek to stick around till the next "family" orientated gatherings like Christmas, Hogmany, Easter, birthdays even, to get a last whiff of the important elements in life before leaving.

Conscious or not it's around those periods most of my close relatives passed on.

Easter is a time of Resurrection, not dying. Pope Francis is on his way to Heaven, if he's not already there.

It is both a sad, and joyous, time.

It doesn’t matter when you die. I think the Pope was very dedicated as he worked right up until the end even though he must have been sick and perhaps this also shortened his life a bit. Some say that many people die soon after Christmas. They want to see it and will themselves to live through it and then give up the ghost in January.

I would assume if you are super religious it could be a good or bad thing depending on how your religion interprets it... for most I would say it's just another day.

The Pope has been failing for a few months. Itis a pretty common phenomenon that elderly people die right after their birthday. It is as if they rehanging on just to make that last birthday. Maybe Pope Francis was holding on until Easter?
