Since Easter is coming up, I thought I'd ask, do you follow the ten commandments or at the very least watch the movie around Easter?

I can be honest in saying there are some I don't follow like I should, but for the most part I do as well as try to watch the movie as much as I can around Easter.

The Ten Commandments are-

1-You shall have no other gods before me

2-You shall not make for yourself an idol

3-You shall not misuse the name of the LORD your God

4-Remember the Sabbath day and keep it holy

5-Honor your father and your mother

6-You shall not murder

7-You shall not commit adultery

8-You shall not steal

9-You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor

10-You shall not covet your neighbor’s goods or wife

hmm, let's see... 1- You shall have no other gods before me  ❌  I do think redheads are goddesses, so...  2- You shall not make for yourself an idol  ✔️ I've never tried for American Idol and never would, so...  3- You shall not misuse the name of the LORD your God  ❌ I don't usually do that, but I've made a few do that and curse and love it too, so...  4- Remember the Sabbath day and keep it holy  ❌ is that Sunday? if yes... I've definitely sinned, many times more than twice..., so...  5- Honor your father and your mother  ✔️ always have...  6- You shall not murder  ✔️ I never had to...  7- You shall not commit adultery  ✔️ not my thing...  8- You shall not steal  ✔️ hearts or attention doesn't count... no matter what they say...  9- You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor  ✔️ my neighbours like me... lol  10- You shall not covet your neighbor’s goods or wife  ❌ okay, hear me out... to covet, yearn... I didn't do that but I might have entertained some ideas in mind, for maybe a couple seconds longer, alright... but who wouldn't really, that was a mother, an older sister, twins... and the younger sister and just some of the most insane genetic pool winners out there..  anyone would wonder just for a split second... or, any teenager anyway

I try to follow the Ten Commandments as closely as I can, but I will admit that I have had a little trouble with a couple of them, in particular the one about adultery because I have done that far too many times. Also, the one about misusing the name of the Lord and taking it in vain. I have done that more times than I can count. I am so sorry. I am trying to get better.

Like all of us, I am a sinner too.

Well, being pagan, no, I'm not really big on the 10 commandments. I mean, not that I go around commiting murder or stuff either but I don't really need a Christian god to tell me that.

And when I was younger sometimes we'd watch Jesus Christ Superstar around Easter.

I have modified the 10 Commandments into something more useful and less controlling. 1-You shall have no other gods before me  You shall have no gods. 2-You shall not make for yourself an idol  Thou shalt listen Billy Idol music. 3-You shall not misuse the name of the LORD your God  Swearing releases tension. 4-Remember the Sabbath day and keep it holy  Take a break once in a while. 5-Honor your father and your mother  Respect your parents if they earn it. 6-You shall not murder   Try not to kill anyone unless they deserve it. 7-You shall not commit adultery  Nookie is good and life is short, have fun. 8-You shall not steal  Don't take other people's stuff. 9-You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor  Don't lie your ass off. 10-You shall not covet your neighbor’s goods or wife  See #8 and don't fuck a married woman unless she's unhappy and trapped in a bad marriage / relationship. Then give her an outlet if she wants it and you're up for that.

This list hid "don't do work on Saturday " so really christian don't need to follow that , nor other old testaments commandments. In fact the rich man asked WHICH commands? so jesus said FIVE. HE NEVER SAID do TEN commands

It wasn't too terribly long ago that I never gave the 10 Commandments much thought.
I could offer examples of breaking all 10 in some form or another.

It's been a very jerky, on and off ride over the past several years since God caused my heart to seek Him.

The past several-ish years have seen my faith grow, bringing with it a much more constant awareness of sin and my attempting to stay away from it.

I'm most very certainly not perfect, but I'm trying to be more Christ-like every day.
I fall short of that goal, every day.
Thank God for Jesus.

Yeah I try to live that way all my life but for sure three and four I have done before quite a bit probably and then number seven I did for just about a year but I didn't know I was doing it I was 16 and a half 17 years old and she was 45 and after a year she said that she was going back with her husband I didn't even know that she was married or split up but I mean I tried to do those though everything all 10

Also, "Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain" is the Second Commandment and "Thou shall not covet thy neighbor's wife" is the Ninth.
