Like, the Israelites should have entered the promised land in 3 days, God delayed them by 40 years, because He cared more about purifying their character than he did about making them rich.

I was taught, growing up, that God has a Divine Plan, which He made eons ago. If what we ask for is not in His Plan, what do we expect him to do? Change his Plan? Of course not.
