I bought the ASUS TUF V249Q3R to bypass Optimus, in hopes of boosting CPU performance, but it just caused thermal throttling to worsen more. The monitor itself is fine, but due to physical limitations of x86 CPU in a laptop, I can't do anything about it besides getting a desktop.
