Ok so think with me , anyone can be replaced, the world is full of men and woman and during our life’s we can have many relationships until you decide to get married. For me the getting married idea is very confusing because you are not choosing that person for being special you are just choosing it because the relationships that you had before didn’t worked or now you are old and worried about being alone or maybe now you have money for it but it doesn’t mean you are marrying someone special , doesn’t mean you will not be happy but

you are just marrying someone it could be anyone !

you will still being sexually attracted to other people after marriage but now you can’t be because you have a “special” person you still admiring other people and thinking about them romantically but now you can’t because you have someone “special”If the person is so “special “ it should not exist the rest of the world ! The other man and woman should be aliens to your eyes ! they basically should stoop existing and no one else would be able to attract you

Ok, so after watching my parents growing up and just looking around at the world now a days, I don't view "marriage" as worth it. I'm mean, the whole thing, is basically just a huge ceremony telling the government that a pair is together. And when that shit goes down the tubes, it allows for the pair to get royally fucked. Instead of a wedding ring, id like a promise ring.
I like the concept of a "life partner" instead. Which is just a couple promising to be together, without the whole, ownership kinda thing. Like, if shit goes down the tubes, it doesn't affect me as much.
I'd much rather we go our separate ways if shit goes down the tubes, then have to go through divorce court and yadada. While I love the idea of having a partner, I don't like the idea of wasting money and resources on the whole splitting up. And if kids are involved, custody is already a thing I'll have to deal with, so it won't affect the whole union arrangement.
Its straight up reality that marriage is not a guaranteed thing and with my future goals as a working woman, I don't wanna tie down a man who in the end won't last.
So, does anyone have experience with having a partner, without the whole marriage deal?
