My boyfriend and I are in a serious relationship dating over a year now and we’ve spoken about moving in together later on - just the two of us no parents.

My mom invited us over for lunch on Christmas Day and she “suggested” and was telling my boyfriend that he could rent out his condo and come live with me and my mom later on and that he won’t hve to work if he did that, but he doesn’t want to and my mom kept pushing the subject and said this to him when I told her not to because living arrangements are between me and my boyfriend.

my boyfriend got very pissed and offended because he doesn’t like the idea and my mom kept pushing the subject…I made it clear to him and reassured him that I spoke to my mom about it that it’s not happening and that we’re going to be living ourselves later on…

was my boyfriend right to be offended about the fact that she told him to rent his condo and not have to work? Or is he being unreasonable?

I live in a studio apartment. It’s a room next to the landlords home. I have to pass by her backyard to enter & exit my studio. Things were great when she lived alone now her daughter around my age moved in permanently with her as she broke up with her boyfriend. She has 4 kids & now building a tiny studio for her. When the landlord isn’t home she is bringing her boyfriend same as I do. Our bfs arrive at the same time I assume after work, so it’s uncomfortable for boyfriend visit me now as they are outside always & weird to pass by them. It’s only easy for boyfriend visit me super late when they are asleep. It’s kinda weird two girls bringing bfs home. I miss my privacy i used to have alone with my boyfriend. Also the room they are building for her the door is right next to my door now when I enter. Even tho her boyfriend visits daily now or living here, and my boyfriend visits weekly only or every other week, it’s giving me more stress her boyfriend arrives same time mine does too. They have similar color car too which is weird and he steals my and his parking spots so we now have to park super far. I plan move out in 5-7 months but plan tell owner in 3 months I’ll be moving out. I have no kitchen, also I plan have baby this year, so I need a bigger place & windows & kitchen & be alone with boyfriend. Not live with other girl. Not live anymore in owners backyard but have a private place to live. Maybe a Duplex or real apartment. Now I kinda understand why landlords want to rent studios only to single men that work all day & no girls. Lol.
