Would it be rude to ask my bfs parents to let my pet guinea pigs stay at their place?

I may be possibly moving across the country to permanently stay and reside to my boyfriends state, to mainly finish college without breaking the bank so I can finish college.

Most dorms do not allow pets, only fish. My home situation is complicated and things are too expensive in my area for me to save much money, so staying here is not realistic.

I would be fine with paying for dorms, however I really don't want to give up my pets. They're the only family I have. I have no one else. They are caged, and do not take up very much space, and do not need much tending. His family has also owned guinea pigs in the past, so they are familiar with them.

Live in an apartment; it's cheaper anyway.

If I work part time, ontop of school realistically, I would not make enough to live in an apartment by myself.

You don't live in an apartment by yourself.
You get roommates.
Your college will have a way to help you find these apartments and roommates.
It's a lot better for you than it was for me 40 years ago with no Internet.

Yes it would. Give it away to a friend to keep or live where you can keep with a roommate.
