I've had my gaming laptop since January 2020 and the past half year, it's been bugging out on me and slowing down in all sorts of ways. I can't exactly afford to buy a system that would surpass my current PC in all metrics, since that's exactly what I'd need and want in order to fulfill my wants in gaming and content creation, along with my needs in programming and AI (for my startups). I was thinking maybe instead of reinstalling Windows 10 and thus having reinstall all third party software, how about I switch over to Windows 11 before the security updates of 10 are discontinued and not have to reinstall anything?

I am aware that certain programs will probably either stop working unless I rely on extreme configs, mods, workarounds, etc., and also the new GUI will piss me off and also make me more happy too. I do have my stuff backed up through multiple cloud sources along with an external hard drive, but my internal SSDs are fine too. I would make the switch to Linux, but my PC uses Nvidia GPU and while I know that Proton, Wine, and DXVK exists, I don't wanna have to deal with that for now; not to mention the fact that my laptop has certain proprietary features like keyboard backlight and fan software that might not work in Linux.

I have never been a big fan of music. I mostly stick to my genre of rock/metal or alternative rock/metal with few exceptions. I listen to some eminem and a few scattered pop songs here and there. My playlist grossed about 300 songs, and I was happy with it. If I wanted new music, I would listen to the radio or go on over to Pandora.

My wife (29F) has much larger music taste, especially in pop, which has a much larger library to choose from. She has around 4 thousand songs in her playlist, and her favorite is Taylor Swift (I detest her music, but have no opinion of her personally).

My wife doesn't like to drive when we are together and calls herself "passenger princess." Sometimes, I ask her to drive, and she just refuses, so I just drive because it takes little energy. Anyway, in the car, she has been complaining for ages that I don't have enough music variety, and she keeps hearing the same songs every couple of days (luck of the shuffle play, I guess). I just look at her and say, "It is what it is." And "I like what I like." I started skipping songs if we had heard them in the past few days, so its something different.

Fast forward to today, and I got to work and go to turn on my spotify and hear some random pop song. So I looked, and my playlist went from 300 something to 1.5k, and it's all pop music and every single taylor Swift song that exists. I feel absolutely livid and now its gonna take me all morning to go and remove these songs one by one using my phone (it'd be much faster on my laptop, but I dont have that on me). I want to confront her so bad, but I am thinking that's the AH move. First thing that popped into my head when I calmed down slightly was that she isn't letting me be my own person, as if I have to be some weird almalgimation of a combination of our personalitys and nothing can be just mine. Am I right to be angry? Am I the asshole?

Tldr; Wife didn't like the lack of variety in my playlist, so she added over 1k songs to it w/out permission
