Personally. I just don't see them as worth your time if you're already squatting and doing pullups. Squats gives more overall benefits and trains the legs more completely.

Deadlifts don't provide as much leg strength or development but are just as if not more neurally taxing. Taking away from squats. Yet just Pullups develops back strength and muscle development better than deads without the downside of Deadlift recovery.

As far as carryover to sports and general life, squats and pullups have more benefit. Pretty much the only carry over from dead this is for deadlift variations and moderate grip strength gains.

If you have it somewhere in your routine for getting some hinge work, stretching the hammies with some lightweight stiff legged, that makes sense. But going heavy as possible and making it a focal point of your routine just isn't worth it.

Deadlift hits a lot but doesn't do anything quite as well. Grip strength. Pullups gives you more. Back development. Pullups give you more and better recovery.

Rear leg development. AtG Squats give you more and shift to front squats hits the upper back better than deads. Other that specifically hinging deadlift provides no unique benefit to any meaningful degree yet taxes you so much.

Using deadlift as a once in awhile strength test a couple times a year to see the progress in your strength program. That has value.

Light deadlifts for the stretch. That has value. Tho Jefferson Curls do a better job for that specific goal

This is one issue that will have a macro impact on your life.. Are you willing to sacrifice you and your families life to defend the rights of the people in Taiwan? As China's power grows, it is clear the prize they seek... Taiwan! USA policies unfortunately are making them more powerful, with the "zero emissions" goals feeding right into China's hands. They will produce most electric cars, if that's the way our society goes, with their hundreds of coal fired power plants. USA dum dumb...

What I've heard of the history... China has been fighting for centuries to consolidate power (like the other empires). After WWII, there was more fighting as the CCP pushed the Nationalist Chinese out of the country... Nationalists fled to Taiwan, presumably with their wealth. The CCP took the side of the poor people against the wealthy Nationalists.
USA fought the CCP several times in proxy wars of Korea and Vietnam, and they went didn't go well. The USA gave in and accomodated China as "frienemy" with a "One China" policy, and then helped China build their infrastructure to become the top economy. oops...

Motive? Is China still threatened by Taiwan... e. g. the Han people in fear of the other clans?

Taiwan is not a threat to China.. no way they'd attack. What do they have that China doesn't have? What is the Chinese CCP up to?
