Why I avoid psychics and fortune tellers

With the pandemic, I see friends my age in person less than 7 times a year and yet I feel less lonely now than I did when I was surrounded by people 5-7 days a week, or when I was a university student with dozens of people to talk to each week and I think the reason, is because God began to teach me that entrusting Him with my life and heart was the key to contentment and satisfaction. While being isolated, I’m not lonely, and I used to be surrounded by people and extremely lonely.

I don’t do astrology or tarot card readings because I trust God with my future and it’s not because of any good quality I have, but because of God who is merciful to all that believe in His kindness. I tell God what I want, make minor adjustments and sacrifices to get it, and walk in the direction that will help me reach my goals. Then, I let God determine whether it’s His Will, His allowance or His time to give me what I want. And if you followed previous posts I made:

I mentioned multiple times that since our knowledge and understanding is limited and our judgment imperfect, as well as our impulses not perfectly controlled, we don’t always know what we want. Because we don’t always know what the future holds, what our full personality is based on, and what hidden problems or personality flaws exist in the relationships we ask for or the people will seek out. But God knows everything.

Trust God, and be at peace, knowing God will guard your faith in Him.
