I've been reading on the internet of how American mothers want to raise their sons and they'd rather teach their sons how to treat a lady (not that it's a bad thing but I think that would be the father's job) than to show their sons how a lady should behave and appreciate/treat a man.

My mom comes from a Latin American country and she just simply raised me how to be a good man to everyone, not exclusively to women only. She also tried to be an example to me of how most women are and should behave. She never shoved chilvalry/female entitlement down my throat (like American mothers on the internet do) yet I still learned how to treat women with respect like I'd treat other men because of how both of my parents are being good examples.
