Search Results: end to a first date

Hi!

From our first date she mentioned she saw us as friends but it could develop for more.

So during our second date, I wasn't as much handsy/break touchbarrier, and neither were she. But I did caught her starring for some time.

Towards the end of the second date we sat on a bench, a little space between us, but not too close.. So I tried the kiss-test, I think she saw it but didn't respond to it, or maybe she were caught up in her speech, so I didn't want to take the chance.

Then when we were about say farewell, she was fast on just going for a hug and had her head already looking away, so I went for a fast kiss/peck on her neck, coz I don't want to be just friends. Her reaction was kinda indifferent, but she closed the door I saw her throw herself on the phone , guess she chat with a girlfriend or something.

Do you guys think I did the right thing to show her I don't just be friends with her. The peck itself was very fast and "innocent", but I wanted to plant a seed.

Or did I Screw up?

Went on a great first date with a girl from Hinge 2 weeks ago. She was busy the week after but suggested a date this week for a second date (last night). I thought the second date started well, started going downhill (some awkward pauses), but I think we salvaged it by the end of the night. Before I dropped her off, I suggested a third date next week, but she said she was busy again, but maybe next Wednesday. Sent a text in the am, and haven’t heard back yet. She does work in an office job, so I’m not sure if she’s ignoring me, or just busy.

Just want to see the numbers from you singledaters/multidaters.

How many first dates lead to second date, til you end up to a relationship with one of these?

I have had at least 75 first dates as a result of online dating, and a few were horrible (pictures not current, lied about age, etc.) Most of them weren't that awful, but we just weren't a good match. When I got some experience with rejecting a lady, I eventually decided that the best thing to do was to walk the lady back to her car, no good night kiss, no hug, tell her that I enjoyed meeting her, she seems like a nice lady, but I don't think we're a good match and I wished her good luck with her search. That stopped any expectations from developing and avoided the appearance of misleading her in any way. Maybe that isn't how she wanted to hear that message, but I thought it was better than taking the easy way out by texting or simply not calling her again.

If you were the lady on one of those first dates, how and when would you want that message conveyed to you? If you were the guy, how do you think that message should be delivered?

(Yes, I know that it isn't entirely up to me to decide whether to have a second date; a woman can reject me after the first date, and I have had that experience.
