There’s a couple of things that make our calendar system a bit odd. We have 12 months but aside from July and August, all of the months are named after the latin name of a number (January=1, December=10, September=7, etc.) this is because July and August are both months that were added into the Roman calendar system after Julius and Augustus Caesar.

So one option is to remove those two months and divide the remaining days equally among the remaining ten months, making months lengthen out to 36 or 37 (a lot of days would be going to February) thus lengthening the amount of time you have to make rent payments and other such monthly things. Or you could add a 13th month, shorten each month to 28 days exactly, a nice, simple system. What do you think?
