I've always been an introvert but for most of my life, I was passive and would frequently say yes to things I didn't want to do out of fear of insulting people by saying no. I don't show much emotion because there's simply no emotion to show to others now as I don't attach myself emotionally to hardly anyone else.
This includes family members with the exceptions being the two kids of my cousin and her husband who I do connect with on some levels.

The most notable exception is my long distance girlfriend who's been there for me every step of the way for the past 2 years and I've been there for her as much as I can. Other than that, I aggressively avoid forming connections with anyone but when brought a topic I am passionate about, like firearms, I'm more than happy to make recommendations and show research.

A relatively recent change in my medication for focus and depression that started about 8 months ago has led to a significant shift in my behavior in that I became very assertive and sometimes even aggressive towards others who annoyed me. It's not hard to annoy me though if you're a coworker as all you'd have to do to irritate me is walk into my office and say my name as I like when it's quiet in there.

I do show displeasure towards others when the unwanted contact occurs with my body language bladed away from them and I often don't make eye contact as I just want them out so I can return to things being quiet. I now almost always say no to family gatherings, going out to eat, weekend activities and so on. I simply don't enjoy the company of others and would rather be alone doing activities i enjoy.

However with my girlfriend, I'm the opposite, I'm as warm as can possibly be and I'm always telling her how much I love her and how just knowing that she's on the other side of the screen writing to me brings me warmth and comfort. I'd do anything with her, if she invited me to literally just go kick rocks, I'd say yes and probably have a great time doing it

These are some possible red flags I've noticed in certain women

1. Long (fake) nails
2. Fake hair (~long and/or bright colored)
3. Makeup (mostly heavy makeup)
4. Big earrings
5. Provocative clothing
6. Very active on social media (attention seeking content)
7. Questionable.. questions (e. g. "babe do you think I'm pretty"..)
8. Tattoos/body mods/piercings (especially in weird places)
9. Most/all of her friends are male.
10. Promiscuous or Using sex as a proxy for feeling loved and adored
11. S. I. G. N language (Shaming, Insult, Guilting & Need to be right)
12. Herd mentality/No sign of individualism
13. Spoilt brat-like/elitist behaviour (e. g. people who refer to themselves as "bad b*tches", claim to have "very high standards" or are "high maintenance" )
14. Materialistic
15. Their actions don't follow their words
16. No sense of boundaries
17. Uses past events or personal information you gave when you 'opened up' to them, as ammunition against you during fights or quarrels.
18. Clingy, jealous or possessive
19. Frequent quarrels over trivial things
20. Habit of lying as it could escalate over time
21. Has a tiny, little girl/baby-like voice
22. Expects you to 'mind-read' their thoughts and/or 'hints'
23. Shit Tests---"used to determine your frame. Frame is a concept which essentially means 'composure and self-control.”
24. Ultimatums
25. Can't/doesn't take 'No' for an answer [Shouldn't be ignored; possible sign of an abusive person, may lead to tantrums, physical assault or other 'crazy' behaviours] )
26. Comes from a broken/toxic/abusive home and/or lacks (proper) parental figure (s).*The issue is many don't seek professional help and/or properly work on themselves so they carry that mental/emotional baggage into their relationships.
27. They're often passive aggressive

So this isn't the first time I've messed it up with a girl I'm interested, when I was 16 I've been interested in a girl and I scared her away by being too forward, she avoided me like the plague whenever I was nearby. Just today another girl who was one year younger than me at 18f me being 19m. Basically I was on my walk and was talking to her and her group of friends at the park and got to know her and the group a bit more since I see them during the weekend and Friday on my walks, and she was asking if I had a driver's license since she did, and she said she could take me out on a ride once in a while if I wanted, her body language for some reason at the same time was disinterested seeming. She also said do you know you're handsome, and I just said I'm flattered.

We end the conversation as usual while she casually said I love you beforehand, though she asked if I could get the gardening clubs number so she and her friends could join the club and "get to know me better". I move on a keep walking however I come to the 'amazing' conclusion that I need to ask for their numbers, so I can contact them, so as I am coming round to go home I see her and walk up and say "hi I have a question, one of friends stop and let me say it as I ask if I can get their phone numbers" her friend said she doesn't have her phone with her which is fair enough but the girl I was interested in she sped walk away before I could reach her to ask her, her friend said she'll ask her, and she did, but I must have waiter a solid two minutes but yet the girl I was interested in literally kept a huge distance in between. As I walked away to go home, just giving up I turned my head and saw her and her friend just watching me leave from the gap distance. I think I am just a repellant at times. And I even would just like to be friends with her if she is not interested in me in that way, but they probably think I am a weirdo or low-key now.
