Are these signs that my wife still have loving and romantic feelings for me?

My wife and I have been going through a weird time lately. It started last month when she said that she loves me like a family member but is not in love with me right now. Which threw me off guard because I do help out. I do the laundry and cook dinner and clean. And I work full time as well. She said she still likes being with me and hanging out too. I thought maybe she there was something lacking so I have been making more of an effort for her. I took her on a nice weekend vacation a few weeks ago. I am not sure if her opinion has changed much though. But sometimes her body language makes me think she still has a romantic love me. She still play hits me for reason at all. Yesterday when I was leaving for work, she gave me the cute smile she used to give and even tugged at the zipper string that is on pant's pocket. And last night while we were sitting on the couch, she took her legs and laid them down on my lap.

So I am just looking for some advice for someone who might be able to read into this better than myself. Because she says one thing, but I feel like her body language and behavior says something totally different.

Let me guess, you do all of the household maintenance, car repair/organizing garage trips, plumbing.. what else?

I am just trying to say that I am not a lazy guy. She works as well during the week.

If you're a traditional dude and you do all of the traditional things then there is no reason for you to be doing laundry/cooking/cleaning as much as she does. Checkout my MyTake on gender roles for more info. Life shouldn't be all about what makes her happy. Both people need to be happy.

Reading your post I believe that you are feeling like you don't have a real, meaningful connection with your wife. It's almost like as if you are feeling exhausted. You stated that your wife told you that she loves you like a family member, but not in love you right now. Oh man, she is basically saying that she have emotions for you, but it's not what she wants. Let me ask you a question. Do you think she is seeing someone else on the side?

I do not believe so. When she is on her phone in the evening, she is usually just talking to someone in her family back home

"in love" is emotion. Love is a choice. Most people get married because they are "in love" not committed to each other.
