My wife states that she loves me but is not in love with me anymore?

So this past weekend, my wife started telling me how she still loves me but is not in love with me anymore which is the reason why she no longer wants to hold hands or kiss. Naturally I was surprised. But she says she still likes to hang out with me. She still calls me pet names like "honey", "dear", "sweetie", and "baby". Plus we were discussing this morning about paying off our cars soon, and the idea of buying a house next year. And she did give me some reasons as to why she felt this way, and I am working on correcting those faults in myself.

Based on all this, I wonder if things have not gone to far gone yet. If maybe with some work, we can be sure that out marriage does not go the way of divorce. I saw my sister go through her divorce and it was mess. If anyone could, I would like to hear opinions on what others might think about this. Thank you.

Well, I'm not sure that anyone with a marriage longer than the initial "fantasy island" beginning phase has not experienced the same. In fact it doesn't just happen once, it can happen a each new stage of life that you and she goes through.

The key is this: are you both willing to work out the kinks by sticking it out until you do? If so, you and she will find new ways to love each other. Love in my opinion is not necessarily an emotion, but a firm commitment to a person who you feel strongly about, and willing to ride out the storms of relationship. PM if you want more.

I think you should ask her why she stopped being inlove with you. There is problaby some reason behind it. Women are emotional beings. If we fall in love with someone we dont just fall out of it.

You could spice up the marrige tho. Like tell her you have a romantic suprice for her next week. Then she will go around thinking of romantic stuff with you. And it could be anything from a picknick, going out for a nice dinner, turning all the lights off with candles around and having her favorite childhood movie on etc..

Ask her if she’s willing to go to someone professional to talk with. They can help you through however things turn out. Better than going it alone.
