Search Results: testing if a girl likes me

I’ve been seeing this girl Selina for 2 weeks now. We’re not official and have only gone on one date but it was with a group. Her best friend Pam seems to like me too, but she might be testing me.

We all go to the same church. I usually sit on the right side in the 4th row from the front. Selina usually sits in the front with the praise team and Pam sits in random places.

Last service, Pam gets to church before me and sits in my spot. I look at the row in front but I see a purse blocking 3 seats so I sit in the 4th row a few seats down from Pam. As church starts filling up, Pam grabs the purse, looks at me, and says, “Guess church is gonna be packed today”. Then she moves all the way next to me.

Selina goes up to sing during song service and constantly looks over at us. Pam keeps brushing up against me and singing in my ear and I keep scooting away from her.

Then after service, Pam starts playing with her hair and asking me questions about my friends and future travel plans. I keep it brief and go find Selina.

As I said before, they’re best friends. Is Pam trying to test my loyalty to Selina? Or does she like me too and is trying to win me over? If Pam likes me, how can I make her respect me & Selina even though we’re not official yet? If she doesn’t like me, is she testing me and how can I get her to stop? I do not want to deal with her annoying behavior every week at church if she keeps this up.

This girl i dated 5 years ago and i recently got back in touch.

I was a major simp and loser back then. Now i own my own place, have a stable job.

We broke up very badly but we finally talk it out and admitted our mistakes. We talked for a few days and she kinda instant reacted.

I would like to give it another shot with her if she can prove to me she is worth it. When we dated the first time I gave her a lot of attention and became her first boyfriend. She wasn't the prettiest girl but i liked her.

Now after a few days she is acting like the other Girls i met in the time between. Responding late, leaving me on read for a while. Just to be sure I do the same and like double the time on it.

She said last week she doesn't see us getting together again but It seem like the dating game is started again. I Know she can be worth my love again.

But before I go crazy about her again. Is she re-testing me. We both still feel a connection

Some people have “ribbing” yet teasing attitudes towards other people particularly of opposite gender and/or people they are interested in. It’s like teasing your crush to show confidence and/or get them to open up their more “real” side. It can also be about testing people by playing hard to get to see if they can “handle you”.

Women often do this to men to as quasi shit test to see if they are smart ass enough to deal with their sassiness. Men do this to women as a sign of confidence and/or to give off a slight asshole vibe because they know many girls like that.

But I noticed this is more common in some parts of the country (and world) than others. Los Ángeles and New York City are notorious for this.

Personally I never liked it. Unless the girl hits the absolute right teasing chemistry and I’m in the mood to banter it’s doesn’t get me turned on. Different if I’ve already known her for a bit and we are already well acquainted. But if I’m interested I am not looking to play faux asshole just to create a jibe to be more interesting. Rather have a real conversation with maybe some practical joking about other things besides each other.

But I think some men and women always start out with joking and slightly hard to get attitude when they like someone. It also their way of avoiding being boring at all costs.

So did men do this in response to what women want or vice versa?
