There's this girl I find extremely attractive, but I just can't find a decent way to let her know that I hold that opinion. Then I thought, maybe I could just randomly say it, but in a casual way, mid-conversation, so it sounds natural and as a genuine compliment, but also feel somewhat light and not so serious. Something along the lines of "by the way, you're very pretty, you hear that often?"

Do you think this is something appropriate to say? Or is it considered weird nowadays, I don't know anymore, it seems like the world is increasingly becoming unnecessarily vigilant when it comes to these things, I don't want to come across like a creep
