Search Results: good or bad relationship

Personally, I've noticed a habit of mine is that I will download and uninstall Tinder routinely, say every few months, and particularly when my S. O. and I are fighting a lot or are in a bad place, and I'm just super frustrated with her.

I am somewhat thinking, "Here are the other possibilities. Maybe they would not be so frustrating."

And sometimes I also get cocky and narcissistic like, "I'm worth so much. I bodybuild naturally, six pack, 5'11 close enough to '6, and I have a classy tech job in Cybersecurity, and I'm focused on infinite personal growth spiritually, mentally, physically, intellectually. I have ~~~ size, if you catch my drift. I'm giving. I do the housework on top of it, and I have a good mixture of feminine and masculine characteristics. I started going to therapy to get better, too, because I can get irritable. I'm soft when need be and hard when fun or needed. And, I constantly get better. What is she really bringing to offer that I can't find elsewhere?"

I know it's fucked up, but it's just in those moments when our relationship is super stressed. I always come back and fix it, and she always ends up open to conversing, going on 3 years.

We both love each other, but this pattern keeps playing itself out. We always fix what gets broken. We rupture, but we also repair, and I think long-term that's what relationships are all about: being able to repair.

Fundamentally though, I'm wondering at what level of "microcheating" or just how damaging my actions would be, and whether I need to work on changing that. I feel a bit guilty, but also not. To me, it seems just a bit more than looking around at other people in public. Like, hey, there's an attractive person I'm going to glance at for a moment.

I just brought up this point in another post.

I said how the outrage from Disney's super-sh*tty-looking "'remake'" of The Little Mermaid comes from all the implications of "white people and Danish culture" being "problematic" and that "black people are superior to whites."

And the fact that they are calling this woke abortion "The Little Mermaid" even though it will not follow the same story and the lead character will not have a love interest or any positive feelings towards a man (cause women liking men, is also "problematic and sexist" and junk.)

My point is, they race-swapped a beloved Disney character, implied that white people are "bad," and are going to change the entire story around and not even have it be a love story anymore. Yet are calling it "The Little Mermaid."

IF THIS WAS A WHOLLY ORIGINAL STORY NOT LINKED TO THE DANISH FAIRY TALE AND WAS NAMED 'CIARA OF THE SEA,' DO YOU THINK PEOPLE WOULD STILL BE ANGRY AT THIS MOVIE?

I don't think they would. Which also means, it's not race that's the issue here.

"You can't get 'acceptance and tolerance for other races' by destroying other races/culture in the process or implying other races are inferior and we need to 'fix the wrongs of the past' by blackwashing and race-swapping established beloved characters for no good reason.

It's not even the race-swap that's the issue. It's the fact this is another sh*tty remake of a Disney movie no one wanted, and this time, they're not even going to bother to properly remake it. If it's not even a remake, it completely defeats the purpose of even calling it 'The Little Mermaid.' If this was called 'Ciara of the Sea' or something, there would be no outrage at all. No one would go see it cause EVERYTHING from Disney sucks nowadays. But there'd be no outrage and you wouldn't have to knock down another character in order to prop up a black female one."
