Are relationships similar to job interviews and work too?

Question

I've been dating my boyfriend for nearly 9 months now and at this moment, there aren't any arguments nor issues. Our relationship remains at the sweet, innocent stage where no major wrongs nor offenses have been done.

However, once trust issues starts, there is a bad argument (ex: if he were to yell out me suddenly and called me stupid... and I yell back) or too much bad blood going on , that relationship dies right? Things never flourish, recovers nor progresses from there right?

Similarly, when you apply for a job interview, you have to give out a good impression or you don't get it. Then once you get the job, you can still get fired if there are too much reprimands from your boss and lots of issues. You would be no where closer to becoming a manager one day. Would you say this is a good analogy? Are they similar?

Basically there can't ever be any transgression at all or it's like it goes against your permanent record. Once trust is lost or weak, it's nearly impossible to regain it.
Similarly, once the manager has a bad impression of you and clearly doesn't like you... he's never going to promote you or give you a raise.

Sorta but not.

you are trying to build a good relationship, it starts out perfect and then you have to do discovery and work... to understand, communicate, and adjust. Some of that is very very hard if the areas you conflict are core values. Ideally, you work on these areas to build a stable relationship and continue growing/changing as goes on.

My wife and I fought hard for some time early on, because I wasn't giving her security fundamentally. We worked through that and are doing well now. I pray it keeps going or we can adapt well together.

Jobs... there's lots of jobs and they come and go, you don't want to do that with relationship especially if there are kids involved.

My take on this is dates are worthless. It's only when you start living with someone you get to know them. I. E. When a woman feels comfortable taking a dump while you're in the shower, or vice versa.

I've never learned a thing from a 'date' per se. It's what happens when you past get the 'magic honeymoon' phase.

Underwear on the floor, farts in the bed. Then you know what you're dealing with.

no. thats not a good analogy.

the reason why it never goes anywhere during fights is because one of you don't have the maturity to admit that you did something wrong. Or you are dating an asshole who enjoys calling people stupid over the littlest things. If both partners are of decent maturity and can admit it when they've done something wrong. or you're with a partner who doesn't call other people stupid due to the slightest things, then there won't be a fight that isn't resolvable

If you want good things in life it takes more effort. This is why most people don't get what they want in life because it's easier to be lazy and take the easy road in everything. That said it's also like exercise. If you exercised and got into top shape it's easy to maintain that & doesn't seem to take as much effort as you'd think if you just started out. Likewise if you live your life, training yourself to do the right thing because it's right & not because it's easy you will eventually find it easier to stay on that path. People who have character & can be trusted to be loyal... and who can be respectful are way less likely to get dumped by a similar person.

So it's how you behave AND who you pick/settle for.

Everybody gets into fights in a relationship and words are said that you don't mean so what I think you should do after you Court completely down you go up to each other and just apologize and discuss it civilized and try to come up with a better way to deal with it explain to them that you didn't mean it that you got to figure out a way to get past it so it don't happen again

Job interviews are like a series of dates, with the aim being to start a meaningful relationship.

The first six months at work is working out whether this meaningful relationship might be quasi permanent or not.

that's not a real relationship that's two people who are full of shit and faking it. real relationships have disagreements and even fights sometimes even swearing at one another that's how communication occurs and sometimes pure blunt honesty and able to get things out in the open

In a loose sense it is some what similar, dating can be similar to a probation period with a new employer. Though I do not like comparing the two because it implies a power imbalance.

If you were you at the start then it shouldn't matter in a relationship. I have to look attractive to my employer and therefore act. I didn't act in a way I thought my girlfriend would like. I acted how I was; hoping she'd like me, she did.
