To some degree, but not overall. As a small business owner, I have to provide support for my customers, especially the big ones that make up a substantial amount of my annual revenue. But if I have set aside some special time, I will notify those customers that I will be unavailable in advance.

But on a regular day, I might have to take a call during dinner or something. It's just part of the job, and if there's not some special event, I need to take those calls. It's annoying, but that's the business.

I've never had to think over this being honest. Having a career ( there is a difference ) and a relationship there needs to be a balance. It’s not that one is more important than the other to me , I am dedicated to and love them both and have never been put in a postion to choose between them.

That being said , I can’t think of scenarios where I would choose one over the other should there be no balance or compromise afforded to me.

Depends what kind of relationship we're talking about.
    1. Work to family -- no, family first.
    2. Work to new guy -- yes, work first.
    3. Work to boyfriend -- strike a balance.
    4. Work to spouse -- also strike a balance, but leaning towards spouse and family.

No, but it’s only a part time summer job. I don't know what will happen when I graduate and get a full time job.

  • As someone who navigates the sea of relationships daily, I see that prioritizing relationships often brings more happiness than putting work first. While ambition and goals are essential, letting love sit in the backseat might lead to some trust issues or even the dreaded ghosting. It's about finding the perfect balance, ensuring that passion at work doesn't overshadow passion at home. So, love like there's no networking tomorrow! 🥰💼

No, once I am in a committed relationship my partner becomes my top priority , especially if there is an emergency. I would never choose a job over a loving partner

That's a bit silly.. The purpose of a job to get money and provide for yourself and possibly your family.. It's not a purpose, or a way of life.. It's just a job..

No. I have a wife and 2 kids. The job is just a way to make money and pay the bills and invest. The family comes first.

You can have both. Sometimes requires compromise, but it can work.

It never would, but our jobs can get in the way occasionally. We both work 6 days a week, most weeks.

No, I have my job to support my relationship. It's a means to an end, and that end is a happy relationship and family.
