So there's a guy we went to high school together we were not really friends we just used to bump into each other in clubs etc. We were only saying hi but thats it. Then i finished school and we didn't see or talk to each other for a year but i sent him a happy birthday text bc we always wish each other hbd every year, both of us always say thanks but thats it. Except this year he asked a bunch of questions about me and how i like uni. Turns out he will go to the same college as me and his apartment is going to be a 5 min walk from mine. He started texting every day, asking lots of questions sending voice messages, pics about himself. Once he had to come here to my city bc of college papers and stuff and both me and him had busy schedules for that day. He wanted to meet me that day in town but during the day we just did'nt have free time for the same hour. He chose to wake up at 6 am sat on a bus for 20mins to come see me before i go to work. He was kinda awkward/nervous around me. He used to hug me back in hs in a friendly way this time he didn't do it. I wondered why. It was like a usual thing between us. After us meeting he started sending messages like im at a club but im not looking for any girl bc i have u then saying jk jk. Or putting it this way like: u know ur mine now😘🥰🥰🤗🤭😌😡😠🤗 with lots of cringey emojis like its supposed to be a joke. But he already made another plan to see me again..

So is he onto something?

I am EXTREMELY long patience down to earth sort of person. Hardly reactionary.

But this guy is starting to act as if I am high maintenance, as if he has to tread delicately, and it's really getting tiresome. Not annoying, I am just seeing him digging his own hole.

Particularly when he'll text something and it doesn't quite relate.

Like, for example, I have both parents & a brother. And he's texting me about meeting my mum & brother... and I'm reading it thinking so did my dad magically die or something

We met at a friend's birthday party. Hit it off, exchanged numbers.

We've not done anything sexual yet since meeting for 2 coffees but his texts are quite sexual & to be blunt I've a feeling he's using me to get off. He is often communicating during the week but come the weekend is more or less dead silent. He wants to meet during the week when he has some time off & my work is closed for renovations for a month - we're being paid.

Quite bluntly as he doesn't seem to pay much attention to what I said - like he praised something I showed him via a link. And a colleague - our mutual friend - was tearing the same link apart. That's not the first time I highly doubt he even looks into what I share.

To be honest I haven't fallen for much of what he says about love, etc. particularly when half of his actions contradict what he says.

We were supposed to go over some plans for a long weekend getaway. Suggested a time. He agreed to that time. I'm waiting for his text for an hour after the assigned time and it's like yeah.

This isn't the first time he's failed to deliver. Meeting up for coffee has been postponed. And a few other things.

We're relatively new to each other - haven't yet been sexual - and I'm already like this guy can talk the talk but he certainly can't walk the walk.

I honestly feel he's taking advantage of my good nature.
