This year I decided to move in with my Grandma and cousins. All my cousins are the same age, we grew up together and get along well. One of my cousins has a best friend who we see regularly and I grew quite fond of him. I had pushed my feelings to the side for a while but as our conversations with each other grew more frequent, my feelings grew. So one day, I confessed and he has also admitted to liking me too for a while.

We talked/flirted heavily with each other for like the first week after we confessed. We're both hopeless romantics, both fell hard and talked about a future together. However, he wanted to tell his best friend (my cousin) what was going on first before taking things further. Needless to say, things didn't go well. There's a 'rule' that my cousin's friends shouldn't go for close family and vice versa because in simple terms, it would complicate things. Also, I found out that this guy has a lot of issues in the romance dept and has led girls on in the past and his ex is kinda still in the picture (I've heard this from my cousins) there's a toxic pattern which he has never learned from apparently😭 He has told me that after talking to my cousin, he realised he wasn't ready to date despite his eagerness before. So we ended things on good terms and stopped talking. He's also not going to visit us as regularly.

Its been a week and my heart is SO heavy. I miss him so much. I grieve the future we could have had together cause I've literally never clicked with someone so fast.

I've talked to other close family about it and they think its none of my cousin's business, also dont understand why we can't figure things out together and believe my cousin is being manipulative. But my cousin would know his friend best right? There's also that bro code. I dont wanna ruin a close friendship.

But I don't know, should I text him? I miss talking to him, but it might further complicate an already fragile situation. Help?

28F, I gamed online frequently with two guys for a little over 2 years. We never met in person & over time the two of them stopped playing as frequently. Now I ended up unfriending one in Dec 2022 bc over time I got irritated with him. While he was clearly a better gamer, he came across as arrogant at times & if there’s one thing I can’t handle it’s a conceited man. He wished me merry Christmas, I didn’t answer & he follows up maybe a month after on IG. He acknowledged that I unfriended him & wanted to know why, I was blunt & he apologized etc. It was a mature conversation & shortly after he tells me that his apartment burnt down after an electrical fire. He’s complained about the complex for the whole time I knew him but for it to end that way is absolutely insane. By the time we talked about it he already moved into his new place, confirmed his ps5 was safe & we left it at that. I checked google & there was a go fund me page for he & his wife. This conversation was in Jan this year & we haven’t spoken since, I added him back on the PlayStation app maybe a month later. He’s been online but not as often, we’d usually talk most of the time he was online but he hasn’t reached out & I feel awkward. I see him online & we’re playing the same game too but nothing. It may seem like an obvious AITA post but tbh if he didn’t say that conceited shit when we were still talking I’d very very likely check in with him by now. I haven’t gotten over it completely, even though I accepted his apology

Guys' opinion is welcome.. At first he pursued me, flirted, I reciprocated and he suggested to go out. I said yes but he never made plans. Then he started playing games, when I ignored his message once he said 'you never liked me'. When he was transferring money to me he said it was 'for coffee'. I thought he was just playing me so I started treating him like he doesn't exist. He tried to talk to me and stared A LOT then but I ignored him. Then on social media he would post 'don't trust people who don't reply' or 'people don't know what they have until they lose it'. I thought it may've been directed to me. After holidays when there was no contact between us I decided to ask him out. He didn't reply but he started staring again and wanted my attention. We started talking again. He messaged me for weeks, was flirty in messages, sent me hearts and hugs, always texted first and a lot but avoided me irl. He stopped initiating physical contact though (at first he was also physical). He would kind of avoid me or run away from me, avoided eye contact too. He honestly seemed frightened of me. Recently he suggested that we meet but with my friend invited too (he didn't flirt with her but me all that time). I confronted him, asked if he's even interested, added that I don't like texting, told him either we hang out or to leave me alone. He said he was sorry for not organizing a meeting and said he wants to continue our relationship, and said I shouldn't be negative and overreact and that I can always tell him anything I want face to face. I replied to tell me when he's free. No response but he still wanted to talk to me in person. In total I asked him out like FOUR times already. Now he ignores me. Doesn't text anymore but is very nice in person. What's going on? Why is he doing this to me? At first he chased me a lot and now it's like a different person.
