Search Results: where do I stand

There is an attractive younger woman I meet at my local CrossFit gym a few months ago. After getting into a several friendly conversations with her I one day asked her to get breakfast.

She smiled at me and said “thank you but I have a bf”. I responded that I respected that and I wouldn’t ask again (while smiling). I believed her at the time and appreciated her handling it the best way possible. She was polite but direct. I didn’t pick up on any negative body language.

Since then I’ve ran into her several other times in class (including a small class with just her, me and the instructor). I act courteous. I’ll give a quick hello and goodbye after class. I even occasionally help her rack heavy weights and move machines (I help other people w/ this too sometimes).

However I don’t start conversations with her anymore. I don’t want her thinking I’m okay with a friendzone or stroke her ego too much by giving her additional attention. However I do act polite to her because she was respectful by how she rejected me

But she’s the chatty type and I’ve overheard her get into long conversations about what she is doing in grad school, her vacations with her friends and her weekend plans with other people. Not once has she ever mentioned her boyfriend. Never. I am starting to wonder she gave me a well intentioned lie.

That doesn’t mean I’ll keep trying if she’s single. She’s obviously not interested in me that way and that’s okay. We both know where each other stands.

But I just wonder why she lied to me about having a boyfriend.

The 22-year-old in question owns a white 2022 Ford Mustang GT Premium (automatic), and the 27-year-old in question is a "trap mom" (as she calls herself) who owns a green 2021 Dodge Charger R/T Scat Pack narrow-body (automatic). Both girls have mostly guys (who also own such fast cars) taking photoshoots of them around their cars. They're very active on Instagram.

The 22-year-old never gave me ANY attention. She gave ONE comment of mine a like, that's it. She's younger than me by NEARLY a month. We're both 2000 babies!

The 27-year-old however was free to dm me (I was flirty with her and her car, she loved that), like most of my comments, even gave me a shoutout. But HOLY CRAP, I thought she didn't like me at first.

I don't have a car of my own. The 22-year-old lives in Florida, and the 27-year-old lives in California (*but* too damn far away from where I live).

Neither girl follows me back, but the 27-year-old "trap mom" liked many of my posts as I gave her some attention.

I also tend to give unique and funny compliments that stand out. I don't just say a girl is beautiful or gorgeous anymore, that's some "nice guy" shit obviously.

Honestly, I never had a girlfriend before and I am really looking to get back on Tinder and Bumble so that God can find the right girl for me.

I'm honestly unwilling to date a girl who drives a fast car either way (especially a high-performance V8 muscle car). I'm worried she might do dangerous activities or be a bad influencer not just on me but on my family.

I'm more into girls that drive basic cars like the Civic, Accord, Corolla, Camry. F*ck Nissan and the pre-2009 Hyundai/Kia tbh.
