My girlfriend hasn’t asked about me since she’s been back from her intense film shoot trip. And she has responded to my messages but she doesn’t respond to flirty or affectionate messages although this may just be me overthinking. Then today she asked if I’m around this weekend or next week after work and asked if we could go get a tea somewhere Sunday evening after I said I’m free then. I asked her if it’s bad as she’s never asks me for a tea and then asked if everything’s ok and she said “Oh I just meant more to catch up”. Is this the end?

Like are there obvious signs of tension and it’s obvious to both partners that the relationship is clearly not working out or is it less obvious?

Like they’re planning future events and telling each other about how great the other is up until the last minute?

She went on a film shoot for work for 2 weeks and she warned me that she might not be able to be in touch much as it will be intense and all day. I texted her something nice halfway through and she responded to say sorry she hasn’t been in touch much it’s really intense and she’ll need to hibernate when she’s back.

She got back and it was radio silence so I messaged and we had a brief chat where she basically said she’s exhausted and has stuff to catch up on so won’t be able to come to an event with me a few days after she got back as originally planned. She said she had a lot of fun on the trip though and she got a bit ill and it was stressful but they all bonded so well and it was the best film experience she’s had.

To be fair its only been a few days so I do think its just me being anxious and overthinking. My gut instinct says I just need to trust her and give her space so that’s what I plan to do.

American Jews, long Israel’s strongest domestic backers, have turned sharply critical of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his right-wing government over the Gaza conflict. A majority believe Israel has committed war crimes as it has killed tens of thousands of civilians and restricted food aid, and four in 10 believe it is guilty of genocide, a new Washington Post survey found — a charge Israel denies. The shift has created new incentives for even moderate Democrats in Congress to get tough on Israel, including by curtailing U. S. military aid.

The damage is also increasingly bipartisan. Despite Republican efforts to identify their party with Israel and to tag Democrats as providing aid and comfort to its enemies, younger evangelical Christians are breaking with their parents on the issue, seeing Israel as an oppressor rather than as a victim. And the breakup extends beyond evangelicals. "Everybody under 30 is against Israel,” the conservative commentator Megyn Kelly offhandedly told Tucker Carlson on his podcast last month.

The question is whether those younger Americans will be lost to Israel long-term — and what Israel’s advocates will do to try to reverse that. Israel’s dependence on U. S. support had become so glaring over the course of the war — in political, military and economic terms — that Israel would be motivated to treat its possible defeat in the court of American public opinion as an “existential threat.”
