Thanks to the "government shutdown" we found out that FORTY-TWO MILLION people are getting food stamps? And MILLIONS of them are able bodied people with no dependents? WTF!

Why should YOU have to work your ass off to give these lazy bums more of your hard earned money?

The "government shutdown" wasn't a bad thing unless you allow them fool you into thinking that the fact that the FORTY-TWO MILLION people getting free stuff at YOUR expense that the shutdown exposed isn't something that needs to be thoroughly audited and cleaned up!

Why should MILLIONS of able bodied people who don't even have any dependents be getting one dime of YOUR money?

And since when is subsidizing dependency instead of making policies that encourage people to be independent and stand on their own two feet the "compassionate" thing to do.

And why should we give the government so much power that its the end of the world if it shuts down. Humans lived for millions of years before government existed because they learned to be IN DEPENDENT not DE PENDENT.

We need to CUT the size and power of the government and return it to individuals, not GROW the government to take our power away.

The bigger the government, the smaller the citizen! Vote against Democrats, the party of dependency and plantation slavery.

The island is currently under de facto occupation by the UAE, who have also been conducting illegal tours which bypass Yemeni customs and entry laws. The tours have been getting good reviews.

The UAE said if they were to acquire the island, they would develop tourism and infrastructure, improve security and make the locals more civilized. They would built resorts and restaurants so tourists would no longer have to rough it in tents. They would also institute more flights and tour operators, and UAE customs and entry regulations would apply, so many nationalities would be able to visit visaless.

The island is often reffered to as "the Galapagos of the Indian Ocean", and is an UNESCO heritage site, home to a large number of indemic species. A biologists and geographers Mecca. However, it being part of Yemen puts most people off from visiting. Being part of the UAE, would certainly make people less apprehensive. However, locals argue that this would ruin the island's pristineness, and most locals don't want to be part of a more civilized country.

Me personally, I'd like this. I would visit if the UAE took it. It would also benefit the UAE, as it would become more interesting.
