My husband gets jealous, am I in danger?

#1 He worried about the guys at my job, now he doesn't want me to work.

#2 If I took a walk outside... it's a problem... he would assume that I'm talking to another man.

#3 I took the kids to play at the playground and they had an elementary football game... we decided to stick around and watch it. Later on he made a comment and said "don't you think you could get attention from other men". I told him that I didn't care about that... I just wanted the kids to have fun... he said "men can still approach you... And what are you going to tell them if they do".

#4. We was on vacation and we got a hotel... the hotel was in my name. So he park the car to the front and I got out. There was a guy at the counter... and I guess he was taking long. And my husband comes in... and I can tell he was pissed off. We finally got it straight. We headed to the car to park. He asked the kids if they were excited. So I thought he wasn't going to bring it up. Until we got to the elevator and he said, "why did it take you that long... I can tell he was flirting with you." He kept talking about it... like he was accusing me of flirting with him.

#5. We went to a Charlie Wilson concert... he definitely made sure I was his that whole night and nobody comes near me... he was clingy. He told me that men and women were checking me out and that they wanted me. So I couldn't enjoy myself.

#6. His cousin was getting married and she's a lesbian. He decided that he didn't want us to go to the wedding because he thinks the lesbians will try to flirt with me.

I just want to know... am I in danger... should I leave. He never put his had on me physically.

Yes honey.

Even if you are not in physical danger (which is debatable, because abuse is often evolving and changing to suit the abusers desire). This person will suck all of your light and joy away from you piece by piece.

Often men like him are actually cheating too. They need to accuse you of doing what they are doing so they can tell themselves they aren't the bad guy and you deserve to be cheated on.

If you ever find yourself asking 'am. i not safe?' around the very person who is supposed to love, cherish and protect you please please please know that that is your instinct warning you to get the heck away from this person. Because yes, he is a danger to you.

Please bring careful when leaving. It can be the riskiest time.

I'll also recommend you read Lundy bankroft 'why does he do that?'. This man worked with abusers and found that they accused women of cheating so the women would spend forever looking inwards, trying to prove their innocence. Therefore, stuck on that merry go round. Instead of seeing him for what he was. When Lindy asked them if they actually thought she was cheating, then usually said no. What mattered was that they believed he thought she was cheating. It's a trick.

There’s no telling what this guy could do even over an innocent mistake. His jealousy problems are at DEFCON 5. I would seek counseling and see if this issue can get resolved.
