We have to worry about getting used for sex or getting string along, someone wasting our time, etc.
I'm now trying to place myself on a man's shoes. I'm guessing it must be hard always being brave enough to ask her out and getting a successful answer if lucky. Assuming the guy wants a long-term commitment, the steps includes asking her out on a date, then asking her to be your girlfriend, asking her to move in with you or proposing to her.

Unfortunately she can reject you on any of those steps, whether it was just for a date or for a major advancement. So overall do guys have it just as hard as girl?

As a 25 year-old woman, I've never in my life felt any attraction towards anyone (man or woman). I'm not just asexual but aromantic too. I feel little to no romantic feelings but no sexual attraction at all.

Seeing how both relationships and marriages have been ruined, is being asexual a blessing after all? After all, I don't have to worry about falling in love with Mr Wrong nor wasting my time nor being string along, etc. Would you call that a blessing?

To be honest, I find men more logical in that aspect. At least they're visual, to the point and love what they see. There is less sugarcoating what your eyes see.

In comparison, the ''falling in love with what you hear'' isn't reliable. What if it's a con-artist or player saying everything she wants to hear, even promises a family family and it's all false? There is a lot of sugarcoating and lying.

As a woman, it's a shame how my gender can easily fall for it just because he's romantic and says sweet things. Anyone can promise you the world and a flying carpet and it doesn't mean he'll have kids with her. And then more girls complain about getting string along and the relationship going nowhere. They focus too much on words said than their own eyes; no actions done.

Example:
Tony is in his late 30's and hasn't moved out yet, doesn't know how to drive, continues getting fired from every job and relies on his mommy to still cook for him and do his laundry. He's considered a loser by many and can't get a date as a result.

Similary if a woman has already reached her late 30's and all the men she's been (she kept choosing bad) with kept her as a ''forever girlfriend'' and she ended up dumping them, the relationships never progress, she let herself continue get string along forever; she just can't get any man to commit, to propose to her and give her kids... is she the female counterpart of a loser?

Is she just as a loser as Tony?
