Search Results: make up or no make up

I think I've told a few people on here that im attempting to write my own books. It will be an epic medieval fantasy setting and i am fleshing out a few of the main characters im thinking about putting in the story.

the main main character though i got a middle aged woman who is a master at fighting with a sword. Her name is Charlotte and she lives in an internment camp among other human beings who in my story are a bit rare.

some other traits about her i got so far:

- she has no children not due to any illness or bad health but because she simply decided she doesn’t want to. She decided child rearing wasn’t for her.

- her father who was a war hero and taught her everything about being a fighter has been missing for a long time.

- she has a positive upbeat attitude towards life despite living in an internment camp.

Thats about it so far. I originally had her as a make character and younger but i dunno i find this a bit more interesting a d not something you likely see in fantasy or any story really. I like the challenge in any case. What would make a middle aged woman give up an established life and go on an adventure? I find it thought provoking.

would you find this character interesting?

maybe something like Brianne of Tarth from Game of Thrones

lately I been wondering this a lot.

I look at people like Eminem who's been a multiplatinum artist for decades, has a $250 Million net worth yet is still a slave to his vices and past trauma.

he has opened up in the past about still being addicted to pharmaceutical drugs and how they all affected his quality of life such as his mood, sleep and even giving him amnesia. so bad that he would look at old videos of his past concerts and dont remember ever performing there.

so again I been wondering it seems like no matter how much success you achieve in life your past traumas will always find a way to creep back in your life sooner or later. so this makes want to ask if success is worth chasing in the first place?

Yep Trump says higher home prices are good.

Tell the young people that. They can't afford to buy a home. Homelessness is already getting worse in America. Most of the so called jobs offered are fake listings They are working 3 low paying jobs now. . No way can younger people afford a 50 year Mortgage. People aged 18 to 30 are a huge voting block and they won't be voting for Republicans in November. Inflation is going to be higher than when Biden was in because of His Tariffs which are now just kicking in. Plus Trump wants lower interest rates , which will make everything go up. in price. Companies have been eating higher costs and they won;t be able to do that much longer.

Americans must also pay higher insurance costs and Property Taxes with higher home prices. Trump thinks higher valued homes are good but what does a person really gain? People can't borrow more on it. Houses don't pay dividends. Homes are also a liability until it is paid off.

He also said young people don't work hard enough to deserve a home.

Completely opposite on what he ran on. He promised lower housing costs.

Hear me out. There's this guy on Instagram who pits 2 countries, continents, states against each other, and has people vote for which they think is more beautiful. It caused quite a firestorm in the comments, and I got involved in a couple quarrels myself.

New Zealanders and Swisses were claiming their countries are more beautiful than the US, and me my fellow Americans were arguing that the US is more beautiful! With China being the only other reasonable contender.

So, OUR argument was, the US has far more variety then those countries, and landscapes you can't find elsewhere.

THEIR argument was, that the majority of the U. S. is ugly, while they're countries have more beauty per square mile.

On the flip side, some Brazilian guy called me an idiot and wanted to beat me up through the screen, because I made the same argument that they were making against the US.

But here's the thing, I make the SAME aguments, and I think BOTH are correct, depending how you look at it. Although I would pick NZ or Norway over Switzerland, as Switzerland has no coast.

THEN, we have countries like Italy, France, Lebanon, maybe even Spain that have BOTH variety AND beauty per square mile! So one of those could also be considered the most beautiful.

So what do you guys think? Let's settle this once and for all!
