Guys it was me and my boyfriend’s 1-year anniversary and we were on the phone. His friends were with him and they could hear everything He straight up tried to clown me and laughed to his friends (I didn’t say anything by the way so there was no reason for him to make fun of me) I froze in the moment and couldn’t say shit I warned him twice and then he turned to his friends laughing and said “She watches way too much Scarface bro” I was like What the hell are you talking about Then I looked at something in my phone and the orange light reflected on my face He said What are you looking at and I said Your 3 cm dick wasn’t doing it for me so I went on Pornhub. His friends heard all of it and I hung up Do you think I’m the problem for saying that I feel a little guilty

Well you were both out of line but based on your account I’d say that he deserved a justifiably sharp reaction , just not the one he got because you allowed yourself to be brought to his level , that is on you , you are better than that !



Although , that can be what happens when you push feelings inside you over and over. , you explode 🤯, and more comes out than you intended with more vitriol than can be justified. That’s why you have guilt , because you are better than that and you allowed him to see a side a really unattractive side of you. Insulting his manhood is low but you lashed out because you felt you were being humiliated so I get it.


You showed him your teeth , don’t feel guilty for that , but next time choose yourmoment and your words more carefully and explain to him why he was absolutely the instigator and how he disrespected you and set a boundary right then and there … no more ! Respect is a basic right that we all should be afforded without consideration of the fact he is supposed to think more of you than just that. Immature guys have a tendency to act like that amongst their “friends” trying to be a different guy with them the are with you , unfortunately some never learn what being a MAN is.

Yes I think you were. Yes what he said wasn’t the smartest thing to say, but you took it even lower by hitting at him below the belt literally. This is one issue most men straggle w as far as being adequate enough for their partner. Imagine if he said you have small tits in front of your friends. Maybe you don’t care about the size of your tits, just imagine it was something that you really take personal that took a shot at you physically speaking that you struggled w. So yes I think knit was you. Men try to act cool in front of their friends. Again not the best thing to say by clowning you, but you took it even lower. More than likely he’s not going to get over this. It could even breakup your relationship.

The issue wasn’t with you making a low blow joke, he did as well. It’s that in my opinion, you aren’t addressing the issue by mutually trying to hit below the belt. This could easily happen again if something similar hasn’t happened already, because no matter how you clap back at him, you’re still showing that at the end of the day you aren’t going anywhere. He shouldn’t feel comfortable openly talking bad about or disrespecting you, and it sounds like that’s what him and his friends do when it comes to women. It’s very immature but they just all enable each other.


I think you can do a lot better for yourself instead of pouring time into this situation that may not even go anywhere. I mean is there any end date to the distance? Any talks about moving closer to one another (or together in general) that isn’t just hoping and wishing? Because damn at least let there be a silver lining.

You are not the problem but, based only on this one story, I am wondering if you feel your relationship is good for both of you but mainly for you? I know this is just one story and maybe everything else is different but, it does not sound like there is a lot of mutual respect or caring. JMO!

I think you ARE the problem:
1. I wouldn't have stood there letting him say all that stuff. Dump that guy. He's disrespectful.
2. When someone is being disrespectful don't engage. It makes you look bad.

What work does this relationship do for you? You are being abused. Humiliating you in front of his friends is abuse. He used your emotions for sport. No 'boyfriend' worth the title would do that to you. Every relationship has conflicts but abusing you in this way is waaaaay over the line.

Run, don't walk. Seek support from friends, family, counsellors, to get back on your feet. Your life will be better.
