Yeah I agree its just a bunch of politics, and the internet colliding. People will always say things and get beat up for them. Just don't let it get to ya:D Unless you decide to become Karma. As my friend who was a PJ would say, "Punch and Run".
Thank you for your advice, sir. I appreciate it! :-)
Always saying sir! Man you really are a marine!:D Awesome
You know, I don't agree with everything our military does, but I do respect our vets. :)
I appreciate it ma'am :-)
You're welcome. (On a side note, I'm not old enough for ma'am yet! :P)
Every female is old enough for ma'am.. sign of respect, not age :-)
How about Miss, then?
Thanks for your service bro and good luck out there
Thank you sir I appreciate it :-)
'Serves his country but is sent to the other side of the globe to protect it.'
Why not join the national guard and actually be at home protecting your country and not your country's military-political interests in some third world cesspool?
If you say so... I think you don't fight to protect, you just obey orders. I have some friends in the military. I think they are genuinely nice people, but I don't feel sorry for them or thankful for their service. It is just the way life is, I suppose. Some of us work all their lives to build, and others work just as hard to demolish.
I wish you safety and good luck.
We fight to protect. I'm sorry that you don't thank the men and women that protect your freedom and rights.
I am not.
Yes, you've made that aware already :-)
Just out of curiosity... What do you think the Nazi soldiers were thinking? Were they thinking they are evil, or that they are protecting their people and securing a better life for their community?
First off, the past Nazi Germany is completely different from the USA. They were doing it out of pure evil. Last time I checked, the United States never committed any genocide against a race and we never bombed random passenger ships. So your example of Nazi Germany with the United States is an ineffective comparison.
I am not comparing, dear. I am merely remarking on the brainwashed mentality of a soldier. They are always convinced they are doing things for the good of their own people and for a greater cause and purpose. They are not obeying others' orders.
Anyway, naturally, we will never see it the same way. Soldiers have existed since the beginning of civilization, they are a brush in the hands of artists. They are never remembered and they never matter.
I understand that you don't have a good understanding of what we do :-) It's apparent. Hopefully, you can educate yourself on what we do :-)
Hey now, don't be condescending. That's not nice.
In 500 years, the America that you are fighting for will most likely not exist. Whereas, principles, ideologies, medicine, music, Maxwell's equations, scientific discoveries, and so on will continue to exist and benefit people 'til the end of mankind. You are not the first soldier and you certainly won't be the last. Others before you fought for Ancient Rome, Ancient Egypt, Persia, etc... What does it all mean now, anyhow? Zilch!
It is your life, and you choose what you want to do with it.. However, just because you think what you are doing is noble, that doesn't mean it is.
Not being thankful for protecting the freedom of the United States is rude, as well. Thanks for reminding me that I'm not the first and last soldier. :-) I'm proud of my accomplishments and I love my country.
I support soldiers but I do not support the military as an institution. Downvote me and post vitriol at me all you want. Systemic organized violence is something that I will not support.
We're not an institution, first off. We are not an organized violence system. We are here to protect our country, just like every other country in the world.
I support you for doing your job.
Thank you ma'am. I appreciate it
Great Take! I love it! Thank you for your service Logan! :D
You're welcome and I appreciate it ma'am. :-)
:) :)
Thanks you for serving! This take really opened up my eyes about the army ( no joke )
THANKS once again 😊😊
You're welcome ma'am. I appreciate it :-)
why do you sell weapons to terrorist paramilitaries in northern Ireland
Hubba Hubba cute soldier :D
Aha, thank you ma'am. I appreciate it.
Is that you in the pic?
Yes Ma'am, it is me :-)
You look good.
And as for your take, I'm totally against war and I think if we are to call ourselves developed or civilized we would need to first find an alternative to war. I don't think everyone joins armed forces just to kill, but I can't help but think that they are contributing to keep at least the prospect of war alive.
Yes, we are keeping war alive until our enemies cease fire. Until then, we will keep fighting. There are no alternatives to war right now unless we throw a nuclear bomb, which certainly is far far far from any options right now.
Why join if it's oh so horrible and emotionally destructive then?
I knew that my emotions would be shaken, but I did it because I love my country and I want to protect it from any enemies. It's also a tradition in my family :-) My family has been in the military since the Revolutionary War.
9-11 was an inside job by the U. S government, didn't that make you want to quit the forces?
Where's your proof it was an inside job?
www.hangthebankers.com/.../
actually read it and don't jump to your own conclusions, i will show you the same respect
@itsallover
I will give you five reasons why it wasn't an inside job:
1. Kerosene fires are hot enough to burn steel. The Twin Towers did not collapse because of the impact, but because of the fires
2. The Pentagon crash - it was an airplane, not a missile. The airplane crashed into a sharp angle, with one wing hitting the ground, and the other hitting the Pentagon's columns.
3. You believers that believe it was an inside job think that the collapse of building 7 was a controlled demolition, when in reality, it was struck by debris then collapsed by the fires
4. You believers that believe it was an inside job say that there were traces of thermite. Well a thermite reaction is not yellow, it is black with traces of red.
5. Lastly, the puffs of debris and dust from the twin towers were not from a supposedly "controlled demolition". It's from compressed air inside the buildings, like any skyscraper.
Oh and I've been in the Marines for almost four years, not 14. :-)
I just gave around 25 reasons why it was done by the government in that link.
you stated 9-11 made you want to serve and feel better, that's why I asked.
Most of those "facts" that were on the website are false. Like I said above, the buildings collapsed because of the fires on the floors, not because of the impact. If there weren't any fires, the building would have stayed put.
That article was terribly written so I find it hard to trust it. But think whatever you want :)
How are they false?
even the base supports of the buildings (far away from the impact point) were shown to be cut angular.
how thermite lances slice steel.
So because you deem it poorly written, you can't trust it?
I fail to see the logic in that :)
But as you stated... believe what you like @itsallover
I expect any official source showing valid information to present the evidence clearly, coherently and precisely. This article does not do that so I can't trust it. Plus it has no official references that back up what is being said. Would you trust a textbook with multiple grammatical errors?
www.globalresearch.ca/.../26517
There you go then :)
even contains sources and links to statistical back up
@itsallover
Why didn't you link me to this in the first place? Still not convinced though.
Didn't think grammar would play a part in fact :) @itsallover
that's ok, I'm not asking you to believe it, I know you won't even if there was a video of Bush admitting it. Lol
Good take man. You sound like a good soldier :)
Thank you sir, I appreciate it :-)
Anytime :) Stay safe!
Marines dont say hooah. Hahah
Oorah** thanks for correcting me sir :-)
There you go. Hooah is the Army lol
Fake marine, you ain't fooling me.
