Well said! I like this short to the point and straight forward take. I'm pretty slim and about 5'2 yet heavier women are always referring to themselves as curvy and to me as 'stick like'. Because I'm thin, apparently I'm not allowed to be skinny too! Which is rubbish obviously. I've always thought of curvy as being a shape and not a size. Glad someone else thinks the same as me :).
Man, the point of this take flew right over people's head. Did they even read the title? Curvy is a SHAPE, which means that bigger people have the potential to have curves as well as skinny people. I understood the point entirely. I feel like some people just scrolled down to express their anger.
Yes, even as a bigger woman, I agree with this. Curvy women can come in any and all sizes. Of course, people will continue to use it wrong because society has conditioned us to think that way. Spread the word, people! Nice take, Char!
Since you failed to explain what this actually means:
Curvy is when the hips and waist have a large ratio, as in the hips are noticeably wider than the waist. Bigger boobs and thighs and butt can help contribute to the curviness but they're not necessarily needed.
The slim ones are too skinny for me and look like they haven't eaten in a while. In the second set of pictures only the one on the left looks a bit fat.
Hahahaha, a bit o haters, I can't change what I like and what kind of females attract me. And I won't be brainwashed into thinking I like women like the first set of photos, you can't please every man with your looks.
I believe that we should be free to indulge in our tastes without being judged as long as we don't hurt other people.
Frankly... female opinion on what makes women attractive doesn't really matter, except for lesbians.
It's like how--80% of men might say that Christian Grey is a loathsome cockroach who should be drawn and quartered and then his remains burned. But women made the 50 Shades of Grey series one of the top ten selling books in human history. Because... they found him extremely attractive.
Similarly, 80% of women might say that Melissa McCarthy is very attractive and beautiful. But men don't find her attractive, so she isn't.
The opposite sex is the only group that can decide is what attractive for a sex.
Would you rather want it to say "All women are beautiful! - except the ugly ones, those can go fuck themselves" or "Some women are beautiful!" is that better?
It's feminist idiocy to go on "all women are beautiful" lmao, because not all are. Some are. Some women are ugly. Some women are unattractive but could be quite attractive if they took care of their bodies.
Oh I know it did. Some people saw the title and didn't even bother to read what I wrote. Some people were offended by the picture, ignoring the words on it. It's like damn, who knew that wanting everyone to to accepted would get so much hate. Smh.
No more than women know a man's feet in height and inches, but tend to respond to a certain range of heights. It's not a conscious, rational decision to analyze the ratio numerically. Studies have been done that showed a subconscious preference. It's not unlike the way the golden ratio provokes a positive response in works of art and architecture without the viewer recognizing its existence.
no, curvy doesn't mean fat. if you are "curvy", that means that you are generally healthy, but have more "curves" and more defined shape. the other girl is just a girl who is fat and has curves since she let herself go.
yes, being fat does mean something. for 1, it's not healthy. there is literally no benefit of being fat. and it doesn't mean you have to be a physical goddess, but there is a cutoff between being slightly overweight and straight up fat, which isn't ok, excluding those who have medical conditions or causes that prevent people from losing weight. being curvy generally means that your body metabolizes food and have hormones that cause you to be wider in certain parts of the body. there is a difference. an apple has curves, but it's curvy. a pear has curves.
Ok and the point of THIS take is that curvy is a shape. You're proving my point by giving the fruit analogy. Everything else you said could be true and it could not. But it's all irrelevant to the point of this take.
it has to do with size. granted the take is right that it isn't a size/weight class, it is somewhat proportional to size. if you are fat, you don't have curves just like if you are toothpick model skinny, you generally don't have curves. that middle area of weight, you can see curves, but they are generally in healthy sized bodies. that's like saying you don't have to be skinny to be fast. it's true. but i don't see someone 300+ lbs winning the 100m sprint in the next infinity years.
no worries. i just found the post odd (mainly the picture) and ironic. i have never seen anyone (ok, maybe tmz or some shit like e!) say the top girls are curvy. but i'v seen countless women who try to pass off being fat and borderline obese as having a healthy curvy body.
I am in the middle of my weight zone with a very decent body fat percentage yet it doesn't distribute on my body the way it does for curvy women. Its just not my body shape.
I am in great shape and been working on it for 8 months. I follow a dietary plan of consuming 2,000 calories a day. I workout regularly... But nope I aimt curvy. Fuck having wide hips. Fuck an hourglass figure. At least i am healthy and not bony.
Its just you stated that generally women are curvy when they are average weight/in the middle of their weight zone but nope noooot true lol im a perfect example of that.
And its cool. I find that at the end of the day the only one to really be there for you is yourself because no one really gives a fuck anyways. People are way to superficial and care so much about things and looks and well about most things that dont matter
@Grungenoreos people on this site need help cause you're like the 5th person who's said this... Copying and pasting pics and gifs isn't calculus. Also, this was a post made 8 fucking months ago. I answered for the sake of answering (usually out of boredom). Any ounce of fucks I have, which was already minuscule went straight to 0. Hell, you should be talking your own last post since you are commenting on a random post of 80 answers and you chose mine. And despite me claiming on multiple occasions about how I don't give a shit about your posts. starting with a comment that had no contributions to your point. To clarify, strictly because it's an old post that has no relevance right now. And yet you still felt the need to comment with essays as if I cared... And you have the audacity to ask why I bothered answering this question or you (idk which you're referring to)? Nigga please!!! 😂😂😂
you´re basically right... but if you´re making a take on something, don´t just tell what it is not xD explaining what it actually means is vital. @DarkHumorRUs has hit the nail on the head.
In my eyes, I did. I said curvy IS a shape. It is NOT a size. That's the entire point of the take. It was kept short and to what I thought was a clear point, but obviously not.
yeah but that´s still a bit wonky. people could still argue: well if you´re fat, your "shape" is like more curvy XD
however, i´m glad some people finally see this. pisses me off when people refer to chubby or fat as "curvy" that´s just bullshit so i think your take is still very good.
Curvy just is a reference to the hourglass shape if I remember right at least that is the case with the redhead from madmen she's got everything in all the right places and she's natural if I remember right.

Thanks for reading! And yeah, those comments are not cool at all. People think that because you're thin you can't get offended and it's not true.
TO THE POINT FACT!!! <3
I dig curves alright and you are SO right that 'Curvy is a shape, not a size' well said dear girl :)
And that shape can well be pear, triangle, inverted triangle, hourglass etc :) <3
Thanks for reading! 😊
Thank YOU for the up vote young lady and you write such awesome stuff that I'd read over and over again :)
Awww that means a lot, thank you! 💙
It's my pleasure all the way young lady :) <3

Some people just don't WANT to get the point.
Exactly... Ugh. I wish this body debate would end.
Yes, even as a bigger woman, I agree with this. Curvy women can come in any and all sizes. Of course, people will continue to use it wrong because society has conditioned us to think that way. Spread the word, people! Nice take, Char!

Yeah its been brought to my attention that the picture if offensive, but it's less about the picture and more about the words.
I agree. You like what you like and that's fine. I just don't agree with the hurting others to get that point across.
Nope, sorry. Fat women are not more beautiful than fit women.
Nor are "all women beautiful." Some women are disgusting. Some women are gorgeous. That's life.
It doesn't say that anybody is more beautiful. That's the point. But I'll agree to disagree.
Frankly... female opinion on what makes women attractive doesn't really matter, except for lesbians.

I agree. Often you hear guys say she is not curvy she is fat, well she can be both. They're not mutally exclusive.
And the same for skinny
Yeah, pretty much!
Right a circle is just one curve love
I did a mytake just like this one... for the most part.. check it out!
www.girlsaskguys.com/.../a22317-why-are-people-against-body-shaming-body-shaming
Just because all women are "real" does not mean they are all attractive.
ATTRACTION HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THIS.
so your only point is that size has nothing to do with gender? ok then, no argument there.
Doesn't the picture say "hotter"? So... it does have to do with attraction
@NonCreativeUsername the point of this take doesn't is what I meant
That's very true. Sadly I think your point went right over some the heads of some of these people.
Oh I know it did. Some people saw the title and didn't even bother to read what I wrote. Some people were offended by the picture, ignoring the words on it. It's like damn, who knew that wanting everyone to to accepted would get so much hate. Smh.
I agree, curvy is definitely a shape not a size. but why didn't you post any photos of curvy women that are skinny?
I didn't wanna post a bunch of pictures, I only posted that because of the words.
Technically everyone has curves of some variety, even if they're too slight to be worth talking about.
Curvy, with a capital C, is really about having an appealing bust/hips/waist ratio,
Appealing to whom? Everyone is different and everyone has different perceptions of what's appealing.
Obviously everyone does. But most guys respond most positively to a waist/hip ratio around the.7 range.
Do you know that by just looking at a female?
No more than women know a man's feet in height and inches, but tend to respond to a certain range of heights. It's not a conscious, rational decision to analyze the ratio numerically. Studies have been done that showed a subconscious preference. It's not unlike the way the golden ratio provokes a positive response in works of art and architecture without the viewer recognizing its existence.
But most importantly, Women have rights; We should respect that!

This is true. My goodness we ladies need to stop tearing each other down for some dick. It makes men think they could do the same, and they do.
My point exactly! Men figure "hey they're doing it to each other already, why not join in". Makes no sense.
i think you got it the opposite. for some reason, people think curvy now means fat:
lexxreloaded.files.wordpress.com/.../curvyfat.jpg
They both have curves tho
