Well said! I like this short to the point and straight forward take. I'm pretty slim and about 5'2 yet heavier women are always referring to themselves as curvy and to me as 'stick like'. Because I'm thin, apparently I'm not allowed to be skinny too! Which is rubbish obviously. I've always thought of curvy as being a shape and not a size. Glad someone else thinks the same as me :).

Man, the point of this take flew right over people's head. Did they even read the title? Curvy is a SHAPE, which means that bigger people have the potential to have curves as well as skinny people. I understood the point entirely. I feel like some people just scrolled down to express their anger.

Since you failed to explain what this actually means:
Curvy is when the hips and waist have a large ratio, as in the hips are noticeably wider than the waist. Bigger boobs and thighs and butt can help contribute to the curviness but they're not necessarily needed.

The slim ones are too skinny for me and look like they haven't eaten in a while. In the second set of pictures only the one on the left looks a bit fat.
Yeah its been brought to my attention that the picture if offensive, but it's less about the picture and more about the words.

Frankly... female opinion on what makes women attractive doesn't really matter, except for lesbians.
It's like how--80% of men might say that Christian Grey is a loathsome cockroach who should be drawn and quartered and then his remains burned. But women made the 50 Shades of Grey series one of the top ten selling books in human history. Because... they found him extremely attractive.
Similarly, 80% of women might say that Melissa McCarthy is very attractive and beautiful. But men don't find her attractive, so she isn't.

Technically everyone has curves of some variety, even if they're too slight to be worth talking about.

Appealing to whom? Everyone is different and everyone has different perceptions of what's appealing.
Obviously everyone does. But most guys respond most positively to a waist/hip ratio around the.7 range.
Do you know that by just looking at a female?
No more than women know a man's feet in height and inches, but tend to respond to a certain range of heights. It's not a conscious, rational decision to analyze the ratio numerically. Studies have been done that showed a subconscious preference. It's not unlike the way the golden ratio provokes a positive response in works of art and architecture without the viewer recognizing its existence.
But most importantly, Women have rights; We should respect that!

no, curvy doesn't mean fat. if you are "curvy", that means that you are generally healthy, but have more "curves" and more defined shape. the other girl is just a girl who is fat and has curves since she let herself go.

yes, being fat does mean something. for 1, it's not healthy. there is literally no benefit of being fat. and it doesn't mean you have to be a physical goddess, but there is a cutoff between being slightly overweight and straight up fat, which isn't ok, excluding those who have medical conditions or causes that prevent people from losing weight. being curvy generally means that your body metabolizes food and have hormones that cause you to be wider in certain parts of the body. there is a difference. an apple has curves, but it's curvy. a pear has curves.
Ok and the point of THIS take is that curvy is a shape. You're proving my point by giving the fruit analogy. Everything else you said could be true and it could not. But it's all irrelevant to the point of this take.
it has to do with size. granted the take is right that it isn't a size/weight class, it is somewhat proportional to size. if you are fat, you don't have curves just like if you are toothpick model skinny, you generally don't have curves. that middle area of weight, you can see curves, but they are generally in healthy sized bodies. that's like saying you don't have to be skinny to be fast. it's true. but i don't see someone 300+ lbs winning the 100m sprint in the next infinity years.

no worries. i just found the post odd (mainly the picture) and ironic. i have never seen anyone (ok, maybe tmz or some shit like e!) say the top girls are curvy. but i'v seen countless women who try to pass off being fat and borderline obese as having a healthy curvy body.
I am in the middle of my weight zone with a very decent body fat percentage yet it doesn't distribute on my body the way it does for curvy women. Its just not my body shape.
I am in great shape and been working on it for 8 months. I follow a dietary plan of consuming 2,000 calories a day. I workout regularly... But nope I aimt curvy. Fuck having wide hips. Fuck an hourglass figure. At least i am healthy and not bony.

In my eyes, I did. I said curvy IS a shape. It is NOT a size. That's the entire point of the take. It was kept short and to what I thought was a clear point, but obviously not.
