A white American male perspective on race

Being a white male in America I've noticed somethings about race in this country. There are racist white people in america, living in the south I would say that I live in a area where it is the worst in the country. That being said I live in a mostly white area and in my high school we are 90% white 5% black and 5% other races. Now that you know where my prespective is coming from this is myTake on it all.

Most white people are not racist and in my school we have virtually no problems among each other and we all get along very well. In fact so well I often find my self not even thinking about the fact that the person I am speaking to is another race. Don't get me wrong though there are racist white people in my school but they are a strong minority holding on to old belifes. My main issue with the subject of race is how miss informed the media makes people about white americans. They love to show any white person being racist and they never show the white people who are not or the white people who respect all people of all races such as myself. This issue is even worse when it's police brutality because when we show a racist white male officer as a representation of our law enforcement, it mis-informs both the world and people of color that white people are racisit and that cops are racist and these things get people very passonate and makes them think that there is a probelm where there isn't one and it causes the riots that have happened recently. It gets people to be afraid of the ones who protect us and worse of all, it makes a issue that wasn't there before, start to become a reality. There will always be racist people in the world, I don't like it but we will never be able to fully rid the world of racism.

I am white, I am a male, and I am American, but I respect and love all people of all color from all over the world and I wished they weren't miss lead to think that I am racist and ignorant becuse I'm white and American. Lets put an end to pointing fingers at each other, lets end racism, and unite together as humans beings.
