Put DOWN the phone : Is it that hard?

Looks familiar? Oh yeah, I bet we all are guilty of doing this too, at some point in life.

Anyways, there's certain aspects of our daily lives that require and deserve our undivided attention. So, here are the times that we should put down those smartphones of ours and be completely present.

1. A first impression

• You can tell lots of things about a person during the first meeting - their behavior, tone of voice, body language etc, if only you are observant enough. Just a short five minutes would be more than enough to do it.

2. When helping a friend in need

• Learn to prioritize. If your friends need you, be sure to be 100% present. Listen to them wholeheartedly, it will make them feel important.

3. A good song is playing

• Music is felt by the soul. When you sit back, and listen to each lyric, each rhythm, you are allowing your senses to become captivated by the artist's hard work, emotion will surface. Any song that brings you to this state is deserving of you to put down your stuffs you're doing and escape behind the melody.

4. At a concert

• Give social media a rest, become present with the energy around you. You are in the moment, being surrounded by humans of the same interest, and experiencing an environment being illuminated with lights and sound. Enjoy it.

5. Exploring nature

• Oh do I need to explain further? Just allow nature and give it the opportunity to capture your full attention, and in return, appreciate the beauty of mother nature.

6. A good meal

• NO, there's absolutely no need for you to take pictures of the meals that you're going to eat. Just sit down, and savour each flavour of the food. Let good food bring you happiness.
