People and their unrealistic expectations

I think movies, television, music, books, fairy tales, porn, and magazines have really warped people's expectations about life situations and people.

Here are a few examples of people's goofiness.

1. If they love me, they will never notice other people.

Just because you are in a happy and healthy relationship with someone that doesn't mean they stop noticing the other good looking people in life. But looking is just looking. And it's not being unfaithful it's only being human.

It does reach a point of going too far. Just make sure you are justified before dropping the hammer.

2. When you adore someone, everyone else will adore them.

Just because you are head over heels over some rancid D-bag doesn't mean we all gotta love them as well. Don't accuse us of not getting it, being close-minded, or being "haters"

You are not a special little snowflake fighting for love against the world. You are just dating an unpleasant asshole.

3. They will always understand your feelings, without you having to say a word.

Just because two people are very close and have a serious understanding of each other, doesn't make them mind readers or omnipotent about their loved one.

REAL communication is key.

4. All Men want is sex.

Men have feelings too, damnit!

Not me, I want all sex all the time :) But other men want more, they just want to be held and stuff.

This shit can drive me crazy: Women and their damn stereotypes about men. If R.E.M can't set their asses strait, Nothing will.

5. Big booty girls are just sex machines

Despite what rap videos have taught us, women with huge assets are worth more then their assage.

Even big booty Goddesses can be sweet girl-next-door types who just want real love, they wanna be held and stuff!

6. You need a freakishly big sex organ

Porn has seriously addled people's brains, male and female. They have gone completely shit house crazy over penis size lol

Guys throwing crazy sizes out there, and thinking they are going get a quality woman with their dangle size alone............Ugh!

And woman are not much better. They are throwing insane sizes out there's as to what they needing. Woman please.

8. Non-white Women are not attractive

Don't know who started this, or why it's even a thing. But come on!

Sick of hearing about beauty standards. Most of that is in your head and insecurity talking.

Not every guy who is nice to women is a pathetic white knight. Some were just raised right.

10. Women do poop and stuff

Women are normal human beings with normal human functions. And thats a-ok!

I agree. Although with number one, even though I notice other attractive people and so does my husband we respect each other and don't checkout other people when around each other. It's disrespectful and rude because it can hurt the person you're with. Looking is fine as long as you don't flirt (because it give the person you're flirting with the wrong idea and it possibly puts you in a position of temptation) or cheat.
Number 4: I've had men on here argued like crazy to tell me how manipulative and sex crazed they all are. There are a WHOLE HELL OF A LOT on this site but I do know there are good men out there. I know a lot of them. Family friends and my husband. He's a great man.
Most girls grow up being told to be careful with guys from our mom dad and brothers. My mom use to call guys "evil penis people" when I was a teen. lol My brother was always telling me "I know how guys think. It's best you stay away from them for a long while" lol my dad threatened to chop them with a machete if they past first base with me.
So our parents put that in our heads. Including getting broken hearts because we gave our V away and they left us. Whatever the case. There are reasons we think number 4 so often. It's not that we rule out that there are no good men, it's just that we realize there are very few.

I don't know where the idea that only white women can be beautiful came from. It's ridiculous. Every race has women that can be deemed attractive, it's just not every race is equally desirable. Each person has their own tastes in the matter.

1) There's a difference in noticing and rubber-necking. If you're looking at someone for an extended period of time--and you're not one of those people who simply gazes off to the distance or people watch--long enough to determine attraction, you're doing something you shouldn't be.

Your eyes are lingering on that person which is disrespectful in my opinion.

True.. and if it's really thin or really thick it skews how long it looks. I laugh when girls say..."I never measure or who carries a tape to measure with". It's like you have hands, and I know you've touched/grabbed it? There's lots of tape measures sitting around because my husband does leatherwork. I put one on my keychain because I sometimes have to set up equipment for certain workouts, etc. and it helps to be able to measure stuff.
