What kind of question is that? "Can girls be gamers" gaming is a hobby people enjoy, why wouldn't girls do it if they wanted to?
If you actually listen to the 12 year olds that say that... But I do not agree that video games should be changed to fit girls. It should be made how it was meant to be made but I do agree that women should be allowed to be gamers.
I like to play strip Tekken with my girlfriend. I wish I'd win more.
It'd be cool to find a girl that could keep up with me in Halo... 😅

Considering a 34 year old man (another person who commented) is against girls playing video games, its not just 14 year olds...
yeah but it's not exactly some kind of epidemic and bitching about it isn't going to change their minds. It's the internet, there will ALWAYS be millions of people who disagree with you on anything. I'm not against fighting for whats right it's just that making all men accept girls playing video games your line in the sand seems just as silly as the people who have a problem with it.

I think they are just trying to get a reaction out of people. Personally I think its cool if a girl plays video games.
45% of online gamers are girls. They play just as much as guys. In fact there's a girl online helping me fix my computer lol
I think the 45% you're counting are the girls who play mainstream BS games that the tryhard men play to feel like they're men, such as Call of Duty, Fallout, etc.
Again, I have nothing against these games, they just tend to attract a "specific" demographic of horribly racist and sexist men

I disagree with GTA having a female lead unless she's foreign. GTA is about mafias. Very few women are in the mafia, and definitely not in any American Mafias. You might occasionally find a russian or other culture matriarchy in a mafia, but not in America, and GTA goes for realism. It would be out of place in GTA.

Or you could not play video games, and work out or read books instead
"There are no girl gamers" doesn't mean what you think it means.
I'd like to see a girl win a Smash Bros, Street Fighter, or Blazblu/Guilty Gear tournament. I'm not being sarcastic, I'd like to see it happen, or at least see a girl COMPETING in one of those tournaments.
