Feminism and Misconceptions in a Nutshell

Feminists are emphasizing on men making their own sandwiches. Feminists want equal pay for men and women while ignoring the fact that woman take decades of maternity leave. Feminists think that a guy's shirt can be oppresive. Third wave feminism says that guys are basically rapists and dangerous.blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah......



These blah blahs gave my ear such an aching that i thought it is time to explain why this whole thing is a bullshit. Feminism is a good thing and needs to be seen as such, but there are so many people who claim weird things in the name of feminism that the concept has been clouded and mixed opinions have started generating. This is not a good thing in my point of view. so let me explain what feminism is in layman language.


What is feminism?


Feminism is a term based on the ideas and methodology which are focused on providing equal rights and oppurtunities for everyone irrespective of their gender. Best and most common example is equal rights to vote, note that it simply makes them equally capable of being a part of the electorate and doesn't emphasize on things like women's or men's vote's priority should be adjusted according to the percentage of total male or female votes that come.


If it is that much about both genders, then why is it called FEMInism?


Well..., you have to understand that when this whole thing started, men had more rights and take in social areas than women, so by encouraging equal rights, they were improving the lives of women,so the term feminism but if you refer to feminists as ail-gender rights activists that'd work fine as well.


Who are feminists?


Feminists are obviously, PEOPLE who promote FEMINISM. They are usually open minded to various views, and take up the best ways to promote and encourage gender equality.The example of this generation is malala yousfzai. You can work your way on google to find more about her.

Who are femiNAzIS?


Wikipedia describes them as radical feminists.They are usually fixated on women only regions of pain and misery. They promote ideas of female entitlement thinking that it was female empowerment and usually take up on unnecessary issues, like why women have to make sandwiches, REALLY? SANDWIcHES? If you don't like that, just don't make it. ugh..

Who cares if feminazis exist? I didn't cared but now that i see people making fun of feminists because of some rubbish feminazis said, it kinda feels bad. Now that you know who is who, don't refer to both of them as feminists. Feminazis might be trash, but you don't want to be dumb as well, do you?
