I'm writing a fantasy book for fun about religion. It's young adult but the biggest challenge for me is how to write about a serious subject in the form of a fun action adventure, without preaching to the audience. It's a book I have been planning for years and it becomes a pain to have to go back and delete words. I have to delete and replace the word Christian. Thankfully I did not bring up the word a lot.
The problem is that there is one religion in particular--the religion of peace--that believes there can never be true peace on earth until the Jews have been wiped out and the rest of the world converts, a religion that discriminates against women and homosexuals. We can't coexist with every religion. Some religions won't allow it.
I figured that it would be obvious that this was aimed towards the major religions still at work today. It's meant for those who offend other religions or put people down for them, not for people who say that they hate Nazis or something. Please don't try to turn a well meaning post into a reason to argue simply because I couldn't add every single detail that would outline my perfect exact meaning of this.

Like our PM once said, "Things go wrong when one religion claims that it's better than the other", or if ideologies so meant are promoted by a few people of the religion. With all the terrorism around, it's obvious that one religion seems to be (rightly) condemned (or rather, hated), but I believe that if it does no good to the human race, it better perish
I'm an atheist: I have no choice but to coexist with religious people of all kinds. Thus I learned quite a bit about these.
They can't actually all coexist, to be existing it has to be real, and its kinda impossible for ALL religions to all be real.
So it's the idea of them that should co exist, but at the end of the day, they aren't all existing
I think it's pretty simple.
No one's asking you to love them.
Just how hard can it be to not give a fuck.

All religions are wrong for pretty much the same reason. They are not meant to coexist though, their own magic books tell them to fight other religions. That's how it's been for centuries.
Well I'd contradict. I won't speak about other religions but the one I was born into didn't have any content which meant that other religions were wrong or to fight them but instead, it was propagated into us through this religion that there are various paths through which you eventually reach and amalgamate with the biggest energy even if the path is of atheism. FYI I was born into Hinduism.

It's not possible because most religions are in a competition to be right and only one religion can be the right one. Yet they can all be wrong.
We shouldn't exist with ANY religions. Nothing good comes from religion.

You may not realize this, not being part of an ideology is not a belief. That would be like calling "Not skating" a sport.
Wanting people to stop following ignorant bronzed-aged belief systems isn't forcing anything on anyone. It's no different than wanting murders to stop murdering, pedophiles to stop screwing children, etc. It's wanting people to stop following a system which is inherently bad. But just like the other evils, you can only hope people do it.

@candyaurora I lI've blameless, educated in religions and a lot more other shit and show love to all. I also suffer for my beliefs.
I can confidently say I m a rarity in this age serving homeless people and always helping the unfortunate.

If you are a helpful and peaceful individual (Christian I presume?) then it is great but actually are not you judging all Muslims and Islam?
What about political beliefs? Should I be accepting of different political opinions, or is it okay when I hate those who don't believe what I believe?
