So some people honestly believe that there is a 'Gay Agenda' that must be prevented at all costs.

Now what is this 'Gay Agenda I might ask.

I know a few gay people and I gotta say. I have never met one who wants to engineer societal collapse. (Hell the only person I've met who has even thought about that would be me and I'm straight.) So whats the deal here. What is so bad about gay people being able to have equality? Do you just not want people to get married?

Now the argument used against Gay marriage you hear from conservatives goes like, "This is a Christian nation. We don't want to end up like Soddom and Gommorah."

Now by opposing things like welfare and universal healthcare, ironically its the conservatives who are committing the ACTUAL SIN OF SODOM. Why do I say this, well its not me, its Ezekiel 16:49 that says it:

"'Now this was the sin of your sister Sodom: She and her daughters were arrogant, overfed and unconcerned; they did not help the poor and needy."

So yeah according to the religion of these fundamentalists Christians, it's them who are going to hell for being unconcerned about their fellow man

So that argument is out.

Another reason that argument is invalid is found in the constitution:

The first amendment shows that congress cannot pass a law based on the bible, the fact is that because its written into the constitution the means that any state law with biblical reasoning is unconstitutional the federal supreme court CAN AND MUST strike it down.

Now here is the third thing about this:

Now the very last thing about this 'Christian Nation' Is that what these conservatives mean by that is they really want a Fundementalist Evangelical Hardline Protestant Christian Nation. Because there are plenty of Christian Denominations and If we HAD to pick a damn state religion in the style of the U.K, or Canada, or the Scandinavian Countries.

I'd pick the Evangelical Lutheran Church.

Why?

1.They are pro-choice.

2. They are pro-Gay Marriage.

3. They allow their pastors to marry.

4.They allow pastors to be gay and marry.

Now you get the damn point: That Christian views on these topics vary greatly.

So, your views that gay marriage should be prohibited and that any say otherwise is because of the Gay Agenda

Traditional values have become illegal. I’ve never really given gay marriage that much thought. I’m not a religious person, so I don’t see it as an issue in that sense. But when you get the government involved in things, it’s never as simple as a private matter. Now we’re all involved, because the government’s dictates can’t be ignored. If the politicians want you to approve of same-sex marriage, you have no other choice than to abide. (Or they’ll put a gun to your face.)
But wait a minute. Maybe I’m the bad guy in all of this. Gay people should have the same rights as straight people, shouldn’t they? So if straight people can get married, gay people should be able to do that too. Wouldn’t you be a really bigoted homophobe if you thought that marriage could only be between a man and a woman? And shouldn’t that kind of thinking be a crime, since it can make gays feel badly treated?
My answer to that last question is: nope. I don’t think any opinions or values should be criminal. Freedom of religion means you can practice your religion in whatever way you like, as long as it doesn’t hurt anyone else. Getting some angry dyke’s feelings hurt doesn’t count.
Gay marriage isn’t really the problem here, it’s the laws that force everyone to accept it. They make you think it’s about tolerance, “being nice,” yet the very idea behind these laws is that traditional, conservative values can’t be allowed to exist and must be suppressed. The political scene is infested with Marxists who are by far the most intolerant people on this planet. Yet they are also great deceivers and can make you think that their intolerance is really about being nice and inclusive, 2 plus 2 equals 5.

I'm a Christian and yes I was upset that gay marriage was legalized because it's against the bible. Anyways its their sin and that's something they have to deal with. What I don't like is the fact that in every channel and on almost every tv show they have gay couples and make it feel like we have to accept it or else we are stupid and ignorant. Bullshit. My city, Houston, just defeated an ordinance (HERO) championed by our openly gay mayor that would have allowed men to use womens' locker rooms among other infamias. Her gambit was a clear sop to the gay agenda to erase gender differences and force business to cater to the whims of the LGBT community.

What's worse, when the ordinance was defeated in a landslide referendum, our mayor openly pouted, criticizing the will of the electorate (the same electorate that voted her into office twice) and generally behaved in a manner more befitting a 7 year-old child than a 55 year-old elected official. She even called for a boycott of her own city! It's unthinkable for a mayor to openly wish harm upon her own town. It's akin to FDR openly hoping the Germans would defeat the US in WWII.

I'm not religious at all and hate most bigots but like others have said people are taking issue with them trying to force religious institutions to have weddings and grant marriages which is wrong in their beliefs and anyone with any kind of moral compass would know it would be wrong to force them to do the wedding. Also some people do have an agenda. Frozen 2 with people trying to pressure Disney into making Elsa gay is the perfect example.

Yes there are SOME christians that hate gay people and want to restrict their rights and harass gay people that weren't even bothering them but you can't generalize the entire faith for it. here's my view on gay marriage: I dont care about it. I dont see the point in legalising it but now that its done I wouldn't bother revoking that law. The government gains nothing from legalising gay marriage. The only reason the government should care about marriage is because it is the best environment to raise a child (in nearly all circumstances). Since most gays won't have their own children why would the government want them to get married?

The main social benefit, and henceforth the reason why the government would provide this subsidy, that comes from marriage is that it is the best environment to raise a child. We don't take everyone's kids away as soon as they break up with their partner to save the precious child from being raised without a Mom AND Dad... because we recognize that a kid is still better off with one parent who loves them than without any at all. And it's not like gay people live in a vacuum where they have no family members or friends of the opposite sex who can and will form a bond with their children.. they will get their male and female role models from somewhere. Why would this be hard to explain? If you reaaally want to get into a proper explanation with a child, you can always start off by explaining there are different types of sex. If you just want to explain where children come from, a particularly vague and basic explanation of heterosexual sex will be sufficient.

Explaining to a child they are adopted has nothing to do with explanation of sex, especially if the parents decide to let their adopted children know from the very beginning that they are adopted, but also loved no matter what.
